Seems like people focus too much on the ”outrage response” rather than the issue itself.

That would be on part 2 already if people really cared.

Look at the TV viewership #s. Look at attendance numbers. Nothing has changed from this year to last year. People still supporting the NHL just like always.

To put it in perspective, this thread is already 21 pages. Think about that.
 
Does this actually offend some people? I have to imagine its more virtue signaling than offense. It was actually pretty funny and made me laugh.

I remember the days when it was totally acceptable to make fun of Keith Tkatchuk's weight gain at the end of his career and he was universally referred to as Keith Tkachunk. How times have changed ....

It is crickets though. A month or so old thread at only 27 pages isn't much of an outcry considering this nothingburger from yesterday is closing in on 22.
