I have something bad to tell you....
Yeah I get it. I remember people saying Vegas would be in cap hell, that they had mortgage the future to get Tatar and Paciroetty. They were able to move on from them and Fleury AND acquire Stone/Eichel/Pientrangelo/Barbashev/Adin/Stephenson.
Just about every good team in the league has 3-4 forwards making more than TK. All those good teams have 6-8 legit top 6 forwards. It looks like the Flyers have 3 at most if Cutter gets there and Coots recovers.

The Flyers already have Atkinson, Hayes, and Couturier making more than Konecny

If your expectation is that the Flyers could perform actions that a competent organization could do, then I really want to talk to you about this beachfront property I have for sale in Idaho.

they need a few top 2 defenseman, no team will win a cup without a top 2 defenseman probably thru trades or luckily in fa because you are not going to anyone of that caliber thru the draft.

Atkinson and Hayes have no future and Coots could get moved for sure.

Trust me I am less impressed by the current organization than anyone. The fact that Torts is still involved isn’t inspiring. Like Briere got off to a good start but so did Hextall.

Is it on the Snake River? I’d be interested

In all seriousness. After listening to the Vegas GM speak, the Flyers have never had anyone with that type of vision/feel for the game

Between his injuries and his NMC I think Couturier is the least likely Flyer to get moved anytime soon.

We don't even know if he has PCS symptoms that limit or ruin his everyday life. It's not really that funny a subject, tbh. He's only 24 years old.

I'm not joking about it at all. I'm completely serious.

The ring is a symbol of an achievement - and I'm trying to put myself in the shoes of someone who has gone through a lot of issues like this. Would I still wear it as if I contributed to the run? You have every right to, but would you do it and feel like it's a tiny lie?

I really don't know. I think you're being naïve if you don't believe there are players in similar situations that put the ring in a box and never even wear it because of how it all went down.

He gets a ring, but doesn't get his name on the Cup

If you're NP, do you even bother to wear the ring? Like can you wear it with any pride?
I asked Girl, and she made a great point to my giving it to a sick kid etc. This is what he's worked for his whole life, in a decade he might regret that. In giving it away for example it's would still be out of spite for himself, even though it's a thoughtful act of kindness, the motivation to do so is negative. And that might be regrettable down the line. I didn't think of it this way and she's totally right.

It's a pretty wild thought experiment trying to put yourself in his shoes.

To be serious, unless he can make a miracle comeback he probably hopes people never ask him about hockey ever again so I don't think he wants the ring.

Absolutely.

To add to it, his name won't be on the Cup either, so this is truly just for himself. His own little trophy...I think he'd kepe it, but wearing it is where I'd be surprised about.
