Big fan of the ASU girls, I guess.

This seems like significant term and $ for a very limited player who needs his teammates to do practically everything for him lol:

Physical, defense has really improved, can score.
Role player who can elevate a play making center.

If Ellis' contract is insured, the Flyers may be able to move to it Arizona cheaply in summer 2024 when they lose Bryan Little's contract. Currently they are using Little's $5.29m cap hit to reach the cap floor.

Arizona actually traded a 4th round pick for Little and the signing rights to Nathan Smith back in March, so I assume that insurance is paying most if not all of the $8.5m in salary that Little is owed for this season and next.

Some Reverse Retro blouse news...

Oilers are likely bringing back the Oil Drop McFarlane blouse. The Isles are bringing back the Fisherman but the jersey will only be using current team colors (ie no teal). The Lightning are seemingly bringing back the storm surge (lightning bolts on sleeves). Last, the Sharks are looking to do something with the Seals.

It's complete overkill at this point. Does every team have about 5 jerseys now?

Technically speaking... no.

They're allowed a home and a road and an alternate third (which has to stay for at least two or maybe three years before they can replace it). That's it besides "specialty" jerseys like outdoor games and the league wide Reverse Retro. They've made some exceptions for "Heritage" jerseys though (Canes wearing Whalers and Maple Leafs wearing St. Pats on St. Patrick's Day).

I don't mind it but i'm a jersey nerd. Now what Nike and the NBA does? THAT is overkill.

Wasn't that basically Simmer at 5on5?

I see Krejci is chasing that 1000 games played milestone to join the exclusive club of the players like Nick Schultz. Wonder how many Czechs have gotten to 1000 though.

Wonder if Fletcher had kept G through the year and then offered him this deal, if Giroux would have taken it?
No. He just got $20M to go near his family. I'm sure he loves Philly, but not that much.

Mandated jerseys are the worse. Teams with a classic look shouldn't be obligated to wear some cash-grab jersey. Too bad over the past 10 years the Flyers seem to have begun embracing terrible third jerseys

Of of the few teams yet to use a different logo at least.
