I get that they like his energy and fearlessness, but Raska scored 1 point in 27 AHL games. He makes Connor Dewar look like Connor McDavid. WTH is wrong these idiots? Do they think points are awarded for grit, or for goals?

Sorry for not being around much lately. How have the people we care about been playing? I thought it was interesting that Russo said in his podcast this week that he “knows for a fact the Wild have zero interest in Zegras”. lol, probably not a culture guy unfortunately. Maybe in the next life my teams will be competent

I think Faber has been good, Boldy too. Rossi has been trending downward lateley, but I think he should be fine when Kap comes back.

what a miserable time to be a Wild fan, still feeling the pain from exGMCF mr harvard graduates brilliant decision.

maybe we will get another Benoit Pouliot in the top 5. Jesus

in other news to make this less of a depressing post - Boldy has a nasty one timer now.

I think this is less miserable than watching us get blown away in the 1st rd of every playoffs

I will say this. Anyone playing injured right now should be shut down. Kap should be shut down until he is 100% healthy. Do not rush Brods or Spurg back. Shut Gus down and roll with Flower and Macintyre. Let the chips fall where they may and quit trying to scrape by when the universe has conspired to gift you a high draft pick.

Agreed. Other teams such as perpetual losers like the Sabres would love to merely make the playoffs, but we are in a different spot. The only Wild people happy with merely making the playoffs are Leipold and his money men. I am not one of those who thinks tanking cures all, but in the situation we find ourselves in now sometimes it's better to ride the wind and see where it takes us, even though butthead has limited our ability to even do that because of the contracts he gave out.

Agreed , and this is why an owner mandate to be competitive in the face of an obvious quick rebuild perfectly presenting itself really screws us for decades to come just like the last two decades.
 
Those NMCs handed out this offseason were such a senseless move. There’s no justification whatsoever for getting those deals done early.

Could’ve moved all 3 of them for a first each & then explored bringing them back in the offseason if you really wanted to. Thought Guerin might have been seeing the light at the end of the dead cap tunnel & could realize he was about to have $20M+ this upcoming offseason. Never can assume that Guerin is logical though.

I remember years and years thinking how great it would be to have four 30 goal scorers, seems like we have been around that mark the past few years. If the D wasn't a dumpster fire we might not be so terrible, it just is what it is.

It was too early, too much term, too much money and too many clauses on all of them.
So frustrating.
 
So who could we trade to get some extra picks? Gus? Middleton? Mojo? This team isn’t going anywhere.
 
Deadline cap space is $3,5M if I'm reading that correct.
Terrified what his next move could be other than getting rid of Merrill.
 
Like I said , Guerins signing were so bad I guarantee if you put Zucc or Foligno on waivers neither gets claimed. Just pathetic signings all around
