Boldy just connected a pass to Rossi, who drew a penalty on the resulting breakaway, gets a penalty shot in OT, Rossi ends it

^What he said ^

I thought Dewar looked vg, also, but Rossi and Boldy have a higher level of skill. Dewar is the best skater of the three.

Boldy has some sick hands.

So if you're keeping track at home, Boldy and Rossi were both directly involved in all three goals tonight

The Boldy pass to spring Rossi before he was hauled down and awarded the penalty shot was sublime.

Boldy with a great SH chance against MB. Intercepted a long goalie pass, then undressed a defender before getting off a nice shot. Good save by G.

And Boldy with the PPG. Snipe from then high slot, assist, by Shaw and Rossi. This MB broadcasting crew is much better than Iowa's.

Army still playing Beckman with McLeod and Sucese, rather than more talented players like Shaw, Rau, and Swaney. Cramarossa, Giroux, and Turgeon are better, or at least more skilled. Beckman just credited with a goal, but I think it will be changed. Dirty goal in front.

Iowa missing Addison, Hicketts, Mermis, Boldy, Rossi, Dewar...that's a lot of talent gone.

Iowa beats MB 3-2 in a SO win. Beckman with a goal in regulation, and a SO goal that was a snipe. Rau with a slick between the legs SO goal also. Koslowski with 35 saves was good. Big dude...I've seen him be really good, and not so good.

Iowa loses 6-2. Beckman with snipe off the rush coming in off the wing..top corner. Chaffee with an assist on the other goal. Smooth passing by him to make it all happen. I like him, a lot.

Tonight's game against Rockford cancelled...Covid- on Rockford's side,I think. so much for Rossi getting into some more games. Next game on Friday.

Rossi might learn a thing or two watching Staal in the brief time that he is there....if Iowa doesn't get more games cancelled, that is. Iowa can really use Rossi and Staal...it's been looking pretty ugly.

Smart move all around, Staal gets warmed up with his family around, Guerin supports USA Hockey, team gets help at Center, Rossi gets some faceoff practice against a long time pro. Wins all around!

He does? Staal plays for Canada

Rossi with game tying goal late in the third. Rebound off a nice shot and rush by Chaffee. I tell you, this Chaffee has NHL size, speed, and some skill.
Jones was good till the final few minutes of the game when he let in two bad goals.

And Staal scores the OT winner, using Beckman as a decoy. Snipe. Not a bad couple of Centers for an AHL team. Staal might not be the fastest, but he is way smarter than everyone else out there.
Oh, and the Iowa Dmen...o_O

Redeemed himself in the OT, though. I was (along with commentators) fooled by that late 3rd sprawl, but replay showed it actually hit the post. Still, overall a good game by him; definitely see the potential in there, just needs to clean those flubs up.
