Iowa up 3-0. Dewar and Beckman with 1g,1a...Beckman's on a PP snipe. No points for Rossi but he has looked vg, to me. Ripped a shot off the crossbar, and somehow got robbed in a scramble around the net. He seems to be getting more and more confident handling the puck...doesn't make mistakes and is a creative passer.

final 4-2. Addison with one of his best games. Very creative skater. Rossi was also vg... maybe the best game I've seen him play. Only one assist, but hit iron, had some bad luck on chances, and linemates were fumbling his passes. Baribeau looks ok to me. Big guy.

Is this the official Baby Wild GDT tonight too?

Looks like Boldy is with Rossi and Beckman is with Dewar

Boldy looks like he hasn't really missed a beat through his first two shifts. Great pass to Rau for a goal. Rossi gets the secondary assist.

Every time Boldy touches the puck he does the right thing. I don't think he's turned it over or lost a puck battle at all this period. Including some plays where he probably should have lost possession or the battle.

And Rau scores again, from Rossi and Addison

Boldy, Rossi, Shaw, Swaney, Hicketts on PP1

Beckman, Dewar, Rau, Addison, Somerby on PP2

A few decent shots for PP1, but overall nothing going on the first PP

End of 1st period, 2-0 Iowa. Rau two goals, Rossi two assists, Boldy one assist. Boldy looks good...really big compared to most of the rest of the team. He towers over his linemates. Beckman is playing with Dewar and Shaw, and they are looking good, as are many of the other forwards. This team is loaded up front with Boldy in the lineup. PPG guys like Swaney are on the 3rd line.

Addison with a couple of careless turnovers.

Barely into the 2nd period 4-0. Rossi with 3 assists, Beckman with one, Boldy goal, one assist.

A real nice pass from Beckman to Turgeon makes it 3-0.

Boldy also set up about 3 or 4 real nice chances on his first shift in the 2nd. He's so strong and protects the puck so well against this level of competition.

Wild going to the PP because a Tucson player shot the puck after the offsides whistle

Rossi to Hicketts to Boldy for the one timer, PP goal

3 penalties in a row for Iowa.

Dewar awarded a penalty shot on the PK.

Boldy and Rossi sure look good. Boldy reaches a lot...not sure if he can get away with that in the NHL, but he sure is making it work here.

Tucson somehow got involved in two fights in their own zone on their own PP. Seems like it's not the best idea.

Dewar jumped for a clean check, then acquits himself well in the fight against a bigger opponent. Then tiny little Shaw drops a guy in a fight.

Love Shaw's game. I think he really has NHL upside

He's a little pitbull. I was going to say he reminds me of a younger Rau, but got beat to it. Love Shaw's competitiveness, but i don't think he has the speed or skill to be an offensive threat in the NHL, and he's really small to be a grinder. Same with bitten, who is less aggressive, but faster.

Shaw is a good AHL player, though.

Way more skilled and feisty than Rau.

Feisty, sure. Rau is a better offensive player though. Good player to have in the AHL though. Just don't see the NHL ability there. He's not even one of the first few callups as it stands.

Agree to disagree, but I see five guys on this roster with potential to be NHL regulars: Boldy, Rossi, Addison, Beckman, Dewar

Tucson gooning it up. Game is now choppy, and not very interesting. Some sloppy play from the Wild. Boldy looks vg for first game in six weeks.

Matt Goaldy for the second time tonight, gets out mid line change with the third line (fourth line? I don't know, the one with Turgeon), gets a feed in the slot and buries it
