Lions are poised for PT next Sunday. The loss in Carolina might bite them in the ass when all is said and done. Seattle must lose against Rams. No chance for playoffs otherwise. The consolation prize is sending the Packers packing.

It is amazing how U of M finds a way to lose every year. Love it.

It might be safe to say that the crazy loss against Seattle will likely keep them out of the post-season. It has been a good Lions campaign anyway, but losing against Seattle, New England and Carolina is simply a bit too much to make the playoffs.

However, in terms of development, the season could not have been much better: The biggest question mark was QB, but Goff turned in a really good season. Since he was already improving after Lynn was fired as OC, I think his improvement is sustainable.

It may sound paradox, but production from the TE position actually improved after Hockenson has been traded. If they retain Chark and Jl. Williams or sign similar WR and RB FAs, the offense is almost set - the Lions will need a G and can spend a 2nd pick to fill this position.

On defense, DE is set as well. They should use their remaining draft capital to get at least one very good CB, a good DT and at least one solid LB. Even without trading down, they will have enough picks on the first two days for this. I really like where the Lions could be heading!

Michigan has made the playoffs the past two years. Much less, beating Ohio State the past two years.

People need to get a grip and stop living vicariously through kids if they feel this is a bad thing.
Make no mistake about it, this is a good thing.

Yeah the Lions are set up extremely well going forward. I think theyll likely be favoured to win the division next year and thats with most of their big play makers yet to even hit their prime, with like 4 top 60 or so picks next draft. The 22 draft was really, really good. The kind that sets a team up for major success down the road.

Even if Seattle beats the rams this weekend and the Lions miss the playoffs, they've turned a corner and should be a threat for years to come. James Houston might be the biggest steal of the group and thats including a guy who is already a top 10 wide receiver in the league drafted in the 4th round

As a fan of both the Red Wings and the Packers, I say good luck little brother to all the Lions fans here. Obviously, I want the Pack to win, and expect them to, but I wouldn't mind seeing some sustained success from the Lions.

Same, brother. Sunday night is going to be electric.

However right now I'm a little numb about football. I don't know if any of you have the Monday night game on, but a Bills player collapsed on the field and was just given CPR on for about 10 minutes and the game has been temporarily suspended. Nobody knows if the player is OK yet. Bills teammates seen crying on the sidelines before they went to the locker room.

This is literally the only football game I've had on in years. I fired up ESPN+ to see what games were on and there were only late games so I clicked on this one until the hockey started. So that's fun... watched another Fischer incident... So shitty.

I have no idea how they attempt to play this game at all. Everything is far too fresh. If I was a player in that game, I don’t know how I’d be able to sleep in the near future.

especially the guy that hit him yikes

they probably make dozens of very similar hits every year and now will think about this every time

Yeah. I don't know if it's possible for anyone on that field to feel worse than Tee Higgins. He made a football play that they've made hundreds if not thousands of times to get an extra yard. It resulted in... this. I hope that this does not eat him alive. There was literally nothing else that he could do. That's the correct play to make 100% of the time.
