Is this the same HoF some of us didn't think Z would get into?

Congrats iron chancellor Kalervo Kummola! Under his tutelage Finnish hockey took the first steps towards professionalism and he brought karaoke to Finland as well.

Congrats to Hank too! Olympic gold & silver, World champion, silver medalist and 2-time bronze medalist and U18 european champion. Although many those international medals comes in expense of Finland but all is forgiven, how he carried himself in glorious Red Wings uniform.

Who should the Tigers draft with the #3 pick overall? I would like one of the outfielders: Crews, Clark, or Langford.

Depends on what Harris thinks about the depth in the organization. I wouldn’t be surprised if they took the Pitcher from Tennessee if he has another season like last year. I’m not holding my breath with the young Pitching they have now

I like their pitching depth more than their outfield depth. Obviously Mize and Skubal have injury problems, but they'll be back eventually, Manning already there, I think Wentz will be in Detroit this year, plus Wilmer Flores and Ty Madden are close. I think Jackson Jobe is going to be good. And a bunch of other 4th or 5th starter types like Brieske, Olsen, etc. Not to mention Spenser Turnbull and Eduardo Rodriguez.

In the outfield I like Riley Greene, but after that it is sketchy. Parker Meadows might make it. The new guy, Malloy, looks interesting. Kerry Carpenter is a possibility. But that is about it, unless Roberto Campos finally turns into something. That's why I'd prefer one of the premium outfielders in this draft.

If Cunningham is out for the season, the Pistons are going to get another top 3-5 pick. Man they suck. Got to wonder if they’re ever going to actually get good.

This is a fun question, even though a lot will change over the next half year. As disappointing this Tigers year has been, at least we don't need to scroll through prospect list for the first pick (although Illitch had better used up his lottery luck for the Red Wings).

What I read about Dollander is that he might be the best college pitching prospect for more than a decade. That might be hard to pass up, and the Tigers couldn't resist taking the HS pitching gem when they picked third for the last time.

But I am really hoping for an able CF with good batting/OBP (I care less for power). Jenkins, Clark and perhaps Crews - whose arm may be wasted in CF - seem to fit the bill. The worst case would be another bat-first guy with next to none positional value like Jung or Torkelson. Although I love the pitching depth as well, I would much rather have the next RHP instead.

It may be sacrilege, but 2022 should have been his last year. He's literally got nothing to prove and the Tigers really had nothing else going. They should have started the Miguel Cabrera farewell tour when he hit No. 500 and then rode into the sunset at the end of 2022 with a negotiated pay rate. Because Cabrera is gonna pound his joints again and play like 1/3rd of the time.
Not sacrilege at all. My very first thought was, "well, that's one year too many".

Should have beat Philly and Buffalo. Yes, we are good, just unfortunate this season.

Eh... they were not that close to beating Philly, actually. Buffalo, Badgley cost them that game by shanking a 29 yard FG. Philly was a two score game that they scored super late to make it a 3 point loss.

Gagging against Minny in Minny or being wholly unable to stop the Seahawks on defense will be what costs them the playoffs if they don't make it.

Not surprising, theyre super young and had some growing pains but all that talent is showing up more consistently now. Hutchinson showed flashes at the start of the year but hes turned a corner and looks like a legit game wrecker now, even when hes getting double teamed.

Throw 2 more first and second rounders into this line up next year with Holmes draft record and look out

Still worried about Goff. I feel like he's a passenger on that offense and not the pilot. As soon as the lions Offenseline is not dominating the Line of scrimmage, we're having troubles because of Goff's limitations. And there will be plenty of matchups where the fight on the line of scrimmage won't go our way.

If the lions want to win a SB the next 5 years they're gonna need a better QB.

As a long suffering Lions fan, I’ve seen plenty of not so good qb’s. We have and could have done a lot worse than Jared Goff. He hits the open receivers and doesn’t make the mistakes that take them out of games. He seems pretty accurate he’s experienced and now that he has some weapons and a healthy offensive line we’re winning games.
The defense is improving they just need maybe a upgrade at corner.

As far as winning the SB. I think most fans would be happy making the playoffs and maybe winning a playoff game.

The Lions simply must go to the pet store and get a Superb Owl. And then things will fall into place. And some Prob Owls too.

E: Also, they need to do the following.

Breed a good owl and a great owl and that'll give them a Green or a Blue owl. Then, do it again until they get an owl of the other gender and color. Breed those two together and then you'll get a jet black owl. Breed that jet black owl with the Prob owl and boom, you'll get the Superb owl.

We need Allen Park to look like the North Tower of Hogwarts castle with how many Owls.

With this mindset the lions will never win a Superbowl. I'm a lions fan since 2007 and yes, I do believe that the lions are going to win a SB during my lifetime. And there's no doubt I'm gonna fly from Austria to US when it happens.

The development of the team has been good since Campbell is HC. Now they gonna need a good decision for QB this off-season, Goff can't be the mid-teem or long-term solution. The young players want to get paid in 2-3 years, another year with Goff, who's weaknesses are well known in the league would be a mistake. The time to take risks at QB is this off-season.

You've got to understand, prior Stafford the Lions had gone decades without a reliable qb. And I would argue that for as good as Matt was, he wasn't "reliable". He threw heaters to guys 5 yards away and always had accuracy problems in big games (from excitement or whatever, just always seemed to take a half to calm him down.)

You merely adopted the Lions...I was raised by them... (insert Bane voice if you don't get the reference). We could do a lot worse than Goff. He was pretty sketchy last year to start the year, and played scared with a low panic threshold, but I'm not seeing that nearly as often this year. I think he can be the guy. Either way, keep building the team, dont waste a high pick on a young QB who will more than likely bust, and build a winning culture.

I was 10, so not really. Which sucks! I have fond memories of watching those 90's teams with my grandpa screaming at the TV tho. Good times with Barry, Herman Moore, Perriman and I always had a soft spot for Johnnie Morton...no clue why.

Chuck Long, Andre Ware, Joey Harrrington and heck even Stafford all top picks who have a total of 0 pjayoff wins. I agree don‘t waste a high pick on a qb when we have Goff already. Goff has taken a team to superbowl and is winning now that he has weapons.

You do know the Lions have won 1 playoff game in the Superbowl era? Mentioning winning and the Super Bowl in the same sentence is exactly like Jasters post above here for Lions fans. It is hard to believe it could ever happen!
I do agree with you about Campbell and what he’s doing so far. The Lions had 99 problems when he got here and Goff aint 1.
If Nick Foles and Trent Dilfer can win in the playoffs, I would think a guy like Goff can.
