Dude thought he was first in line for Hank's job, only to have it snatched away from him by someone who he knows in his heart is better (and only a couple months older). That's a bitter pill for any competitive athlete to swallow. Still, your main charge as a backup is to be ready and be a good teammate. When it's that clear you can't bring yourself to be happy for team success in lieu of you own personal success, you need to go.

Kakko was the best skater for the Rangers again. He's already too much for most defenseman to handle without turning it over to him or throwing it away uncontrolled and when he has the puck, his passes are pinpoint and hard. He turns 21 in Feb - just think how dominant he could be in his prime at 24-28.

That's what I'd call a bad habits win. They stopped playing for long stretches and were incredibly sloppy all over the ice. Stop playing down to opponents.
