Refs thought we were on our way to another 9-1 win against the Flyers and couldn't have it tarnish the sacred game. A 5 minute major and game misconduct were in order.

also was NHL Network game have to make sure advertisers get what they paid for

Was at the game last night and the team looked to have taken their foot off the gas after being up 3-0. With 3 games in 4 days, can't say I blame them. The first was pretty strong overall. Flyers were getting shots from the outside, nothing dangerous. Game could have been 5-0 easily by that Kreider goal, which was beautiful and up there with the Mika/Buch/Panarin goal against the Sens in 2019.

We are so lucky to get Shesterkin right after Hank. Dude is a stud and is on an amazing deal for the next few years.

Quiet game for the 3rd line, but the jumbling of the lines after the Hunt major penalty (which I thought was not the right call) seemed to cause some issues.

Games against the Flyers used to be very physical and intense. This game did not feel like a rivalry game. Didn't take AV that long to take the physical side of the Flyers game out of the equation. It's something we saw over time here transitioning from Torts to AV. It's likely why the first seasons were his best here and it went downhill from there. Flyers got to the 2nd round with AV in year 1. Been downhill ever since. Reading their board sounded exactly like how it was here from the end of 2015 through his firing. Hopefully they keep him as long as possible and move out more of their players not realizing he is the issue.

Chytil needs to practice shooting into the top half when he's to the goalie's right.

Could it be normal behavior between the two?

Based on their body language and just how you see them interacting, I don't think they get along very well. During warmups or at end of games you'd often see Buch, Panarin, Kravtsov, Shesterkin all around each other hugging and laughing; Georgiev was never involved with his fellow Russians. Kravtsov was even going surfing with K'Andre Miller and hanging out with him outside of hockey. Even though Kravtsov is seen as a cancer. There's not really any player he hangs out with, even check their Instagrams they all click like on each others posts and comment but it's like Georgiev isn't even on the team. They're still clicking like on DEANGELO's posts but not Georgievs... LOL

So I think it is common for Georgiev to be distant like that with Shesterkin but last night looked uglier than usual. Georgiev might be frustrated that he's not getting and playing time now and we're relying on Shesterkin so much more than before

The refs kept getting in the way, too. I hope I'm not the only person who noticed this. Like 3 or 4 pucks went off the linesman when the Rangers were either trying to exit the D zone or move the puck up.
not the only one. should happen once every 2 games, NOT 3 or 4x in one. every time worked against us.
pathetic

yeah that's *the* possibility but an NHL team can't get by with a single legit goalie. the prospect of having Kink as a backup looks less favorable than getting Georgy to his senses.

Lundkvist did have that cringe worthy moment where he tried to one time a puck to keep it in, wiffed, fell down, and gave up an odd man rush the other way that Nemeth thankfully snuffed out by sprawling and blocking the pass

Yeah that was less than ideal.

He return the favor and bail Nemeth out later in the game on an odd man rush that he broke up.

I still don't see him developing into anything more than a Ben Hutton type of guy, but Nils has been better. Some of it is because of his usage, but hes played better even when his role has been limited.

Predicted it
So, now we are considered "elite"? Dont get me wrong, me likey likey, but we aint even close to being there...yet.
as far as I am concerned we are barely running on 4 cylinders. to be winning on 4, makes one thrilled about the possibilities of running on all 8, like my Mustang. Varooooom!

I cringe every time Nemeth attempts to pinch.

i don’t know what Lundkvist does well.

they were average at best, Game score doesn’t magically change everything

Nemeth has looked better the last few games.

Nils is very much adapting still. It would help fans calm down if he hits a laser one of these games. The PP2 setup looked very interesting. Trouba bomb from up high, Nils laser from the left and if the PK try go high to block those two Kaapo, Laffy and Fil can get to work down low.

We can jump the Sharks on Friday. They'll be on the second half of a back-to-back.
they are inferior to us. Keep our rising MSG mojo going..... an Islander win tonight might knock them back a notch. not wanting them to feel super great after wins vs Chicago and NJ.

The first was *chef's kiss*. I cant believe people are pissed at the 2nd. My dudes, They HAD A 5 MINUTE POWERPLAY. We also arent forcing plays. More than once i see our team back out and regroup. Thats another difference. We play to keep the puck and then we can pass better than most teams. I am ready for playoffs, but i keep my heart settled because i know how young they are. I am also hella excited because our team is so young. We have a legitimate 4-5 year cup window and then probably some playoff years. I wonder who we add now
they learned that from McDavid
