Dude thought he was first in line for Hank's job, only to have it snatched away from him by someone who he knows in his heart is better (and only a couple months older). That's a bitter pill for any competitive athlete to swallow. Still, your main charge as a backup is to be ready and be a good teammate. When it's that clear you can't bring yourself to be happy for team success in lieu of you own personal success, you need to go.

He had shifts where he looked like he did the first 3 weeks of the season.

Then he had shifts where he looked like God.

He also had shifts where he would go between both phases.

I totally expected this from the team after 5 days off. They won and deserved to win, but they were in a rhythm and the break wasn't going to help that.

Someone said it in the post game: they are beating the teams they should and got points (stole in some cases) against teams at or above them in quality. This bodes very well to a playoff spot. Looking forward to their January record, should solidify their in/out prospects at that point barring no unforeseen injuries.

This team could have laid an egg tonight. Being off since friday afternoon. The only thing that saved Philly was that 5 min major. Even at 3-1 had no doubt we weren't losing this game. Usually would get a bit nervous even with one of the best goalies in hockey.

Thanks, I do think his defense has been worse this year but the metrics seem to show he's been good so who knows. I'll take everyone else's word for it.

Haven’t seen any replays or anything just what I saw live at the garden. He made 2 plays in the 3rd that really pissed me off. One coming out of the D zone he made some bizarre play where he tried to skate the puck into 3 offensive players and the puck went right back in the zone where Philly got a chance. Up 2 goals in the 3rd this is inexcusable. Then the very strange play at the blue line where he flubbed his pass, just get it deep dude, we’re protecting a lead.
