Wolfpack in lockdown. Huska/Kincaid are likely more or less unavailable too.

The refs kept getting in the way, too. I hope I'm not the only person who noticed this. Like 3 or 4 pucks went off the linesman when the Rangers were either trying to exit the D zone or move the puck up.
I noticed, it’s weird - the D is obviously collecting the puck with momentum that will carry them to the boards and 99% make a play there and the linesmen continually floated over taking a path obstructing their up ice play. Amateur hour

I don't think the team played great after taking that 5 minute penalty. But everyone seems to think it's purely a mindset or effort issue. But really, I think this game exposed some of our bigger weaknesses as a team.

1. Lack of depth at RW. When Hunt went out, the only one who was remotely effective in his place was Kakko, but Kakko is needed on that first line as well. Without Blais for the year, we are definitely going to need another forward who can play in that top 6. We simply can't expect go through an entire season expecting Kakko and Hunt or anyone else in that top 6 to always be healthy. Especially down the stretch and in the playoffs when guys get banged up. We will either need to trade for another interchangeable piece who can play up and down the lineup or we will need to be patient with Barron or Paju or anyone else we might consider calling up. Though I don't think either are ready for top 6 minutes in the NHL. So, I still think finding a middle 6 forward for cheap is the way to go.

2. 3rd Pairing. When the lines end up in the blender, and our structure isn't nearly as solid, it means possessing the puck across the whole team becomes really hard. And thus any weak links on D are really exposed. Lundkvist didn't look great. Nemeth just becomes more and more simple in his game when under pressure. It usually means losing possession. Again, that 3rd pair will need to be addressed at some point during the year.

Definitely not the only one. That was very much part of the reason I thought they were awful.

Predicted it

Still miffed at the Hunt call. He was flying out there. Before his goal, he was robbed glove side, top corner by Hart on a centering feed by Panarin. He, Panarin and Strome were creating havoc with their triangle game in the corners.

Both of these needs are easily doable. Not worried.

On the Georgiev stuff, I just can’t muster up the effort to care

Everyone knows the end to this story, we’re just running out the clock at this point
Who knows, maybe something is indeed brewing behind the scenes and that's why he's also just waiting to get it over with and not hiding it.

I'm always going to like him (because for me he's a TPS goalie first and foremost), but the sooner this relationship ends the better. Better for the Rangers, and better for him.

Quite possibly the most discombobulated game I've watched from Panarin, but being elite like he is - still makes positive shit happen.

I've got 0 issue with Hunt skating in the top 6...he's got a motor up his arse and decent enough hands.

Great win.

God, I'm dreading the game against SJS with Georgiev in net now. It'll be a f***ing disaster with the way the Sharks create chaos.
I'm going to the game Saturday, so dont you worry. That'll be a loss as well. I've been low key hoping for an L somewhere during this hot streak cause the last like 4 or 5 games I've gone to have been losses :(
