That was weird by Georgiev. One thing I noticed about him is that unlike all Russian players, he spends most of his time in Finland during the off season playing golf for the most part. Perhaps he’s not part of the Russian gang in NYC

Dude thought he was first in line for Hank's job, only to have it snatched away from him by someone who he knows in his heart is better (and only a couple months older). That's a bitter pill for any competitive athlete to swallow. Still, your main charge as a backup is to be ready and be a good teammate. When it's that clear you can't bring yourself to be happy for team success in lieu of you own personal success, you need to go.

I wonder if getting pulled for Shesterkin in a game he started and wasn't even losing is causing some...issues. Hardly a vote of confidence from the coach, hard to make it feel like the staff has your back, even if it was the right call

Thing is that Georgiev has lost the trust f the team and he needs to find a way to get it back. It he does then it'll help him get traded someplace else

i dont even get the point of georgiev anymore. call up someone and get rid of him. when teams take shots on shesterkin im like "that was dumb." when they take a shot on georgiev im like oh f***... georgiev isnt an nhl goaltender. get rid of him and bring in pretty much anyone else.

Idea: People are so used to Fox's brilliance that whenever he does make a mistake, it sticks out more.

Kinda like Lundqvist in his prime.

It's his mistakes which I'm like, whatever, but also it seems that he and Lindgren get pinned in their zone quite a bit this season. But if I see it be Lundkvist and Nemeth it doesn't really register like that.

I miss the game tonight, can someone give us synopsis on the good the bad the ugly and the shestorkin

Shesty is better than Hank in his prime...Yes i said it
Tough to conclude that. But his ability to actually handle the puck like a 3rd d-man, move laterally faster, let out fewer rebounds, in addition to the occasional hank-like acrobatic saves kinda makes the statement feel true.

Hank was just so nuts in his prime though with how he played deep in his net. He just knew he was THAT fast and let his instinct take over.

I don't know who I take between the two yet - probably still prime Hank though.

I just realized why you said that. I wasn't making a Flames pun, but that's hilarious that I did accidentally.

I meant the Leafs.
Yeah I guess I was the only one who knew you were referring to the Leafs and missed your unintended pun as a result.

Does he really leave fewer rebounds? I feel like his rebound control isn't elite and Hank was good at it.

The first was *chef's kiss*. I cant believe people are pissed at the 2nd. My dudes, They HAD A 5 MINUTE POWERPLAY. no matter how inept, thats going to warm up the other teams sticks and movement. The biggest difference this year is how we close out games imo. We have dedicated role players who know what to do and its refreshing. We're not playing a complete rush based game either. The 3rd was a shutdown period and good teams can do that. The flyers can't. Yes, they have injuries and cant score right now, but their defense is miles worse than us. We also arent forcing plays. More than once i see our team back out and regroup. Thats another difference. We play to keep the puck and then we can pass better than most teams. I am ready for playoffs, but i keep my heart settled because i know how young they are. I am also hella excited because our team is so young. We have a legitimate 4-5 year cup window and then probably some playoff years. I wonder who we add now

Way too early but his puck handling is a huge bonus and something i have no idea how Hank could be so bad at times at it given his obvious talents.

Prime Hank was also a consistent goalie year in & year out. Hoping Igor is as well.

I probably take prime Hank as well as of now.
