Terrible value in the OP.

Stolarz is an AHL goalie. Backups go for 3rd picks... His value is 4th?

So Provorov + 4th for Draisaitl + Pulju

Madly lopsided. Provorov for Pulju could be a discussion, but Prov for Drai is already bad for EDM.

What do AHL all-stars go for, Anthony Stolarz is a starter for Lehigh Valley in the AHL, so does that mean he's worth a 2nd :sarcasm:

Philly says no pretty easily.

Provorov is an extremely rare type of Dman, and is one of the very few Defensive prospects where you're not worried about his development.

He's going to be an elite #1D. And Philly isn't trading him for a couple of forwards.

Guy has never played a game in the NHL and you're guaranteeing he will be an elite #1D.

I like my team's prospects too but you're getting a little ahead of yourself.

Thys ^ above statement is nuts. Also thanks Oilers for sending hall to metro division, one more thing to look forward to when facing Devils.

i would not do either player alone for the package from an Oilers POV, and have not been an Oilers fan since the early 90's

Again....no value for a goalie who has done the above and is only 22? Seriously, look at his progression. It's exactly what you would hope gifted from a goalie.

Is his value in the other 3 guys tier...nope...not close. To say he has no value, is ignorant.

What is ignorant is misquoting.
"adds almost zero value" is not the same as "has no value".

Stolarz adds almost zero value to this trade as almost all non- bluechip goalie prospects do in a trade of this magnitude.

Even with how Provorov and Stolarz have played up to this point, they don't land you Draisaitl AND Puljujarvi. A more realistic deal would be Provorov for just Puljujarvi. However, I doubt either side is interested in trading their respective prospects at the moment.

How about a simpler proposal between Edmonton and Philadelphia.

To Edmonton: Jordan Weal and Nick Schultz
To Philadelphia: Anton Lander and 5th round pick in 2018

someone'll have to point me to how Stolarz is a better goalie prospect than Brossoit, honestly not needed at all for EDM

Drai and Pool party? A couple of forwards? A bit of an understatement dont you think. As for Philly easily saying no..... fat chance they say no to this lopsided deal.

Really? I'm a Provorov fan but this is brutal for the Oilers. Just brutal.

People can argue all day long about who holds more value between Provo, Drai and JP, fact us they are pretty close. Depending on organizational needs, one may value one more than another. However, most SENSIBLE Flyers fans agree that this is woefully lopsided in our favor and though we NEED Provo far more than those two forwards, we take this deal and run. We'd HOPE Sanheim can develop into the #1 dman we need but if not we can make a trade for someone like Shatty or Trouba.

We just couldn't pass up adding Drai and JP to our forwards at really only the expense of Provo. As much as I LOVE Provo, I make this trade in a heartbeat and don't lose a second of sleep over it

Edmonton doesn't need Stolarz (they have Laurent Brossoit who's a year older and has great stats in the AHL, and recent NCAA signing Ellis,) and goalies are available due to the expansion draft rules.

I'm a WHL fan - Oil Kings - but I can't see Edmonton moving Puljujärvi for Provorov. Much less Draisaitl and Puljujärvi for Provorov and Stolarz.

You've been starting your hf career off with a high quantity of low quality proposals. Why not take a breather?

No kidding. Another stupid thread from a Leaf fan. Stick to your own team and leave the Flyers out of it, please and thanks.

Apparently not a leafs fan and I keep getting my posts deleted when I express how bad his proposals are because I am trolling- I guess. I get that everybody who is part of HF boards has the opportunity to be an armchair GM but when you put out poor proposal after poor proposal you have to question whether they doing it just to get a rise out of the passionate hockey fans on here or their views are that skewed. My guess is the prior.
