With all the hardcore line mixing, for some reason Keefe can’t seem to move those 2 from each other. It’s beyond idiotic at this point. When O’Reily is back I really hope we try this for the rest of the games :

Nylander-Matty-Jarnkrok
JT-O’Reily-Marner
Bunting-Achari-Kerfoot
ZAR-Kampf-Lafferty

Maybe Knies replaces Lafferty, mainly cause Lafferty has been they bad. If he signs of course
That's what I have too.

we got 1 home game and 4 away

1)at BOS, 2)Vs MTL, 3)at FLA, 4)at Bolts, 5) at NYR
If it were me

Sammy-Boston
Woll-Montreal
Sammy-Florida
Woll-Tampa
Woll-New York

34 was a force all night. Woll solid.

16-91-88 line was pretty underwhelming.
That's what I like about 34's game this year. He's become a much more complete player. Reminds me more and more of Crosby.

88 has been underwhelming to me for a good while. I'm not a fan of that type of player, so I get annoyed quick at that lazy play of his. Drags down the rest of his line.

I don't mean to be a jerk, but can we respectfully leave Espen out of it? Guy suffered enough in his life already.
Hey brotha , I didn’t know , upon reading about his unfortunate circumstances, I respectfully apologize to everyone involved.
I appreciate you pointed that out to me in the manner that you did , no worries at all , if you or anyone else can show me how to delete that I will immediately.
Peace and respect to all.

Hey brotha , I just found out how to delete it and I did .
Peace

Nylander is playing himself into dangers territory. He was finding a new consistent level as a legitimate MVP candidate for this team for much of the season, matching Marner in production and then it’s been a long backslide into inconsistency nearing the most critical time…

As the low man on the Big 4 pecking order with one year left on his deal, it just diminishes his bargaining position and sets up a situation where he’ll really need to step up in the playoffs or really feel the heat. You can’t move Tavares for another 2 years but what happens to Nylander if things don’t go well?

Looked like a game of bottom 6 players, and they had more than we did.

The Nylander/Tavares/Marner experiment seemed to show a couple of things:
- Matthews looks a lot better with either Mitch or Willy than with neither
- even both of them together can't help JT look good.

It looked like both Mitch and Willy were told to focus on setting up JT. They both passed up on good chances to feed him, and looked much more dangerous when he wasn't around.

So did the PP the time he left early.

Bottom 6 played well, particularly ZAR and Lafferty. Enough to make me reconsider my idea that JT belongs there - hate to mess up the chemistry.

Woll played well. Lost his balance on the first; the second was a good shot although he gave away a bit too much corner. I think having him as backup in the playoffs isn't our biggest worry.

You shit on JT a lot which is really odd considering he's got 32 goals and is a PPG guy

The 32 goals and PPG can be misleading, and I look at his whole game.

He picks up a lot of points on the PP. In fact, except for him and the unholy triumvirate in Edmonton, no other 'top' forward is close to having half their points come on the PP.

He's spent the entire season with one or the other of two of the best right wingers in the league (2nd and 5th in assists, 3rd and 5th in points, tied for 5th in ES points), and is struggling to do anything more than stand in the slot and bang in passes and rebounds, especially on the PP. Yes, he's still good on the PP and faceoffs, but not much else.

I think his best fit would be either 3C of 2LW, and on the PP.

I feel that it is time for me to show my amazing art again. Yep i know it is hard to belive , but i did that all by my self in paint.

This is not a shot at Tavares but towards Keefe who done a lot of good things. But this is not one of them.

16shots from the second line players.. no goal. 7 from Tavares 6 from Mitch 3 from Nylander.

Put Nylander with Matthews if Tavares need to be on the second line.

Gotta be 2LW in my mind. He won’t add anything to the 3rd line. Pair Matthews/Jank. And OReilly/Tavares. with either RW Marner and Nylander and that’s our top 6. We will live or die by their production.

My only concern next is 3C. I’m not sure Acciari is that guy, it’s not Kerfoot so that means Kampf. Which I’m ok with but not thrilled.

Bunting/Kampf/Kerfoot
ZAR/Acciari/Lafferty

Knies bumps out Laff at this point if he can.
But is 4th line a realistic opportunity for Knies? Gotta give him a shot in top 6 for a couple games but I’m not sure how to fit in with these lines. So here it gets tricky.

If Knies works in top 6 I say we go:

Jank. Matthews. Nylander
Knies. Tavares. Marner
Bunting OReilly. Kerfoot
ZAR. Kampf Acciari

(Possibly swap Kerf and Knies)

This all hinges on Tavares getting it going. And Nylander not bringing down the Matthews line. Sucks I’m questioning these guys right before playoffs…..

Don’t wanna be a Debbie downer but the core 4 have been very concerning the past few. I’m hoping it’s just them taking it easy because they have to be so much better than this

Woll was good, 2nd goal was a bit iffy. Defence was solid, liked everyone. Also gotta give credit to kerfoot, he’s actually been solid the last couple games
they combined for 22 shots last night. Problem on the "SUPER LINE" was 88 was coasting. Did not seem to give shite

I think Kerfoot has played himself out of the lineup.
GO WITH:
Bunts Kampf Lafferty
ZAR Acciari Simmonds

Be damn tough to play against. I like Lafferty. He can skate, hit, play D

In a way, playing against these goalies having “career game, star performances” is good practice because Vas will be doing it every night. Need to practice breaking through on tips and crowding the crease. We’ve known who we were facing for a while now. No excuses..Dubas did pretty well in getting ROR who is one of the best at it. Also Acciari and Lafferty(apparently) Now Keefe has to implement them properly.

Good sign seeing ZAR score We will need that depth scoring in the PO.

Say what you will about willy but he can suddenly produce a scoring chance out of nothing far more often than any of the other 3 stars on the team. Probably because I think he is that fastest of them. He has 37 goals for a reason, and a higher +- than Marner and Johnny T.

Nvm I was wrong he isn't higher than Marner. But he is higher than Tavares who has a terrible - 7 Oof.

JT is elite as long as he's standing still, it's the whole 'skating' thing that's a bit of a nuisance.

I think it's more a question of he's the last man back most times floating around, waiting for those opportunities to show up for him. No debating his offensive skills. But it takes more than that to be a great player.

Kerfoot too.. he now has 3 goals in his last 7.

Also I just noticed Jarnkrok has 19 goals this season.. what a great value sign he’s been. A career season in production.
