Post-Game Talk: Leafs lose

The leafs always start the season like sh_t. No change here.

Bobrovosky did what he did to us in the playoffs. We cannot figure him out. Hopefully we dont see them in the playoffs again.

Coaches fault. Need to dress full NHL roster for all preseason games and work the burgers and beer out of them. After all, which of the Jr/AHL players we saw in preseason are still here that deserve to be? Better to have a fast start instead of using the regular season for training camp.

Even if the Leafs are firing on all cylinders, the Golden Knights look way better. This team does not look or play like a real contender.

Can't argue it. Our cap is just not spread out properly and the young cheap talent isn't there at the level it needs to be. They could do some things to fix this but the question is will they? They don't seem to like to rock the boat much.

The TSN crew wouldn't shut up about the last playoffs and lo and behold, the Leafs controlled play and scoring chances but got out-goalied by Bobrovsky.

Not impressed with this iteration of the Leafs yet.

None of the additions have added anything positive.

Domi, Bertuzzi and Klingturd are all terrible. They make the team worse. I cannot believe that they are paying that D plug over $4 million a year, just embarrassing.

Wondering what it’ll take to break up M&M. If Keefe has true control over the team he should do it sooner rather than later, if it’s up to M&M they should grow up and separate for the good of the team.

This team is showing signs of no chemistry. But the thing is that they played the same way to start the season last year too. They've given up the first goal in each of their games as well. Not looking good, especially Marner.

2-2 with 11 GF and 12 GA last season
2-2 with 15 GF and 16 GA this season

Sheldon Keefe is a JOKE of a coach.

ONCE AGAIN Matthews-Marner can't do shit 5 on 5 and his only change is swap their wingers

I said it before this coach is not working he’s not worth a can of beans get rid of him and hire the Zamboni driver he might be smart enough to change up the lines

It sucks to lose but as a positive: I liked Matthews and Nylander board play this game, they battled hard and without fear.
Giordano was terrific.
Bert had some nice vision and will surely produce at some point.
Knies working hard as well as Tavares once again.
And I guess the only other positive I noticed is that the leafs slightly outplayed a cup contender on their own barn. The effort is better this year

This teams failure has nothing to do with keefe. Has everything to do with the loser in net who can not stop a beachball and the house league D.

Those were 7/8 game poor starts

Bertuzzi will get 60-70 pts
Domi 40-50 pts

We will end with 105-115 pts

Playoffs is all that matters for a 4th year in a row.

Yeah i'm usually supportive of most coaches but Keefe has had enough time and i don't think he's going to change anything. Sticks to basically same crap over and over and doesn't test anything enough.
