Went through pre-season and now 4 games into the season and we have no idea what our lines are/should be… I supported Keefe in the past but there’s no one but the coach to blame for this.

I’ll continue giving Treliving the benefit of the doubt. The forwards look set once they find consistent chemistry.
The defence which he has not yet touched looks absolutely awful, goalies included. They’re not big enough, cannot handle a forecheck and are frequently out of position. For the fact that a lot of these guys are bad in their own end, it’s laughable that they provide very minimal offense to boot.

This is silly. None of them are terrible. It's been four games. When Bertuzzi ends up with 75 points, you will likely be the first one praising him.

Mmmm not sure we watched the same game, im dont know how many time he lost possession of the puck on 1v1 battle... It was not a great game by nylander by far his worst....
Again 2 weak goal by samsonov late in 1st, so result leafs was running from behind all game. Rest of the game he was good especially in penalty kill but thats exactly what i hate from samsonov, weak goal at wrost time possible and put his team under pressure... unstead of coming back after 1 at 0-0 they was trailling 2-0 and all momemtum goes on florida side.

Keefe is a good coach but he’s not the right coach for this group anymore. Like you said he’s not innovative and he doesn’t allow the young guys to play. Knies playing 11 minutes tonight is criminal

Playing kampf with a reeves type player eliminates his effectiveness and what he’s good at and to keefe this is obvious cause he doesn’t put him out on defensive zone draws it’s a prime example of gm not on the same page with the guy he inherited
Because they like to play with each other and that is what matters most to the coaching staff and management. Management and coaching has always deferred to the core 4's wants and wishes so why would you think line combo's aren't also dictated by the players?
Because it's Bertuzzi. The guy is always nursing injuries and in and out of the lineup.
Anyone expecting him to play a full 82 hasn't paid attention to his past. He's rarely healthy.

Makes you wonder if Shanahan wanted to keep Keefe while Treliving might have wanted to get rid of him.
This makes no sense. Reaves is clearly 4th line, and because of all the pure offensive guys we signed up front, Kampf is clearly 4th line or you are forcing offensive guys to play defensively.
What lineup do you have with the signings that makes sense where Kampf is 3C and Reaves is 4RW since they should be split up?
Treliving made all the signings, can you make a lineup that makes sense where Kampf and Reaves are split up? I know I can't.
Kampf is the odd man out as a pure defensive player, and no one else on the team is.
He fit well with guys like Engvall/Mikheyev/Kerfoot because they have similar skillsets, no one has those now.

It’ll be tough sledding early in the season while teams are rested and playing fast. Get through October and it should ease up some.

This is why these analytics are a joke. Kampf is expected to score 90% of the expected goals?
Am I legit in the matrix or where am I? In what world would you expect this guy to score more than once every two weeks? Let alone 90% of the time he's one the ice?
