We've got to seriously look at this big four and make a decision. It is not going to work with them. It makes getting a supporting cast correct an extremely hard task.
There's something not right in the absolute core of what this team is. Take a look at a guy like Bertuzzi. Rolls into Boston and gets 36 points in 28 games. Turns up here and looks pretty much lost.
Something isn't right and it always comes back to the cap and building a team. Jarnkrok does nothing. Knies and Minten need more time. Domi isn't effective at all.
If the big 4 don't score, we're still f***ed. We need a complete reset. We finished last season with about 1/3 of a roster as UFAs. We're pretty bare bones to be honest.

That was the type of game I wish they could have won, or at least extracted a point from. Still hoping and waiting for all of the necessary elements (offence/defence/goaltending) to appear at the same time.

one thing we’ve really f***ed ourselves with is the 3C position, minten is no where near ready. Dude is not going to score at all at his current level. He needs to go down. However we have a glaring hole there and I don’t think holmberg fixes that.
The leafs always start the season like sh_t. No change here.
Bobrovosky did what he did to us in the playoffs. We cannot figure him out. Hopefully we dont see them in the playoffs again.

Funny these Dubas Lovers never post when we win a game, but as soon as we lose, they come out making fun of a guy who just got the Job, definitely not leaf fans odd flexes here
Domi no role, Bertuzzi no role, Minten out of place, Over playing 1st line, Marner played almost 24 mins. Who's fault is all of that? Keefe.

That's what's funny too since Pittsburghs bottom 6 might be worse than ours at 5v5 atm.

I might be willing to sit through that for his job resignation
just like the team that was managed by someone else last season, that could never score more than 2 goals in a game in a 5 game series....

True, but now you are either banking on kampf Reaves Gregor to play dzone starts or Matthews Marner placeholder to do it
I can’t believe I miss the 2021-2022 3rd line. Mikheyev Kase kampf engvall sometimes was a nice combo, too bad almost all of their offences evaporated in the playoffs

They don't care about that. It was 2 years for peanuts compared to Babcock. He really needs to go and probably one of the biggest reasons we are not making meaningful gains in the PO

For real though... People wonder why guys like Bert and Domi are a step behind. You think they were expecting game 7 intensity from 3/4 teams they played to start the season? This is a foreign experience for new Leafs.

Even if the Leafs are firing on all cylinders, the Golden Knights look way better. This team does not look or play like a real contender.
