Even with all the garbage officiating, we've had a chance to win

It sucks its an uphill battle but at some point you just simply need to win
Yeah, they've been telling us Lions fans that for years; "You've just got to win", and then when they actually HAVE good teams, the refs take 2 or 3 wins away every f***ing season and generally hose them in the playoffs, and it seems like that's the Leafs' current cycle. Why do the Leafs have to beat the refs as well as their opponents every damned year?

Like Bunting did and they ignored it a shift or two before the OT goal?

The politics of a ref calling a penalty on the defending champs in an elimination game would be difficult. Toronto's a doormat that can accept a 'Kerry Fraser' here and there and everyone just laughs it off.

I’m going to go ahead and say the officials don’t make that absurd 5 on 3 call again in game 7. Kerfoot doesn’t make that dumb drop pass again. The big boys were going today and have been very good especially at home. Tell me when in the last 5 years were the big guys playing this well at the same time in the playoffs? They just have to bring that again and we will win outside of some horrible luck
kerf has done it 2 games in a row lol

Everyone who attends the game on Saturday should rain down boos every time Kerfoot touches the puck
Yeah...no. No need to be like that. Support your team as long as they're playing. Kerfoot could be the game 7 hero for all you know as unlikely as it seems.

Well they did play a lot of perimeter circling, behind the net and back to the point in OT to avoid the big turnovers and odd man rushes and there was a lot of clutch and grab so their looks weren't as clean as you'd like. But that's OT in the playoffs...
They had a few prime chances in OT with the Kerfoot breakaway and then just before the Tampa winning goal, Marner to Matthews for the attempted tip in that just missed. So close and yet so far. 😭😭😭

It's funny. The last time leafs won a series was under Pat Quinn
The hallmark of those teams was they would find a way to win
The hallmark of this team is that will find a way to lose a game
Those Quinn teams had Joseph and Belfour in net. Those rosters were built for playoff hockey.

How can you not blame Kerfoot for this loss?
The bad drop pass was on him......that didn't decide the game.
He cradled the errant clear, controlled the puck and got it to Nylander to start off the play on the go ahead goal. Without his play, that goal never happens.
The high stick call was bush league reffing, not gonna blame a guy for that.

They hired Neymar as a specialist. Foote threw his head back like JFK. The refs have zero shame. Hell, right before the OT goal, Bunting sure looked like he took a shot to the face. Kerfoot before that. Engvall interfered with before that. I hate going into conspiracy theories, but it sure seems like the officials will call it more for one team. Has this series gone 17+ minutes into a period without a PP? You know the refs saw the Foote replay making them look bad and usually in that case, they punish you for making them look dumb. Not us though. We don't get those calls.
sadly more conspiracy theories have merit than we think :(

when there's an incentive, there's a way

Kerfoot played okay and motivated for the most part but I have no idea why he was ice dancing like that with the puck. Those were some Disney on Ice moves before the casual drop pass to oblivion. Generally he's got to tone down the skilled hero stuff.
It's the big mistake that end of the day cost us.
Whatever, we battles hard. Win or lose this isn't a choking series no matter what the mouth breathers say.
Leafs I'm f***ing 7.

I'm at a wedding Saturday... But asked the groom if there's a tv in the "hall" and he said yeah.
Buddies wedding will be over shadowed with a game 7. (He's a leaf fan too)

I think we have a good chance to win game 7, but man with our history, it's hard to think we will.
I get that for sure. But this was a game decided by refs and bounces. I think we take game 7 in our barn and how good will that be.

I hate being a Leafs fan. We have to be the most miserable fan base in the league and everyone loves to keep pushing us lower and lower.
not sure I can keep doing this. I kinda wanna just give up on hockey in general now

You don't have to be here if you don't want to

If you don't want to be a Leafs fan, it should be because of the leafs, not because of the fans
