There’s no shot the Leafs win Saturday. Leafs are going to be unable to score and their goaltending will let in soft goals, like every other game 7 for the past 10 years.

This team is truly cursed.

Basically got hosed by the refs. Elbow to the face, Jo call, mauled down no call. Meanwhile two brutal calls against to put them down 5-3 to tie the game.

NHL doesn't want Canadian teams winning.
We pay guys upwards of 11m a year to have that great moment and beat a great goalie. Not knocking anyone specifically, but we had the chance to win and didn't. It's a sad but recurring theme.

Absolute heartbreaker.... Game 7 it is but i don't feel good about it given our history. Why do the Leafs do this to us?

to all the idiots in here who tell people to "eat dicks" or want to bully people out of being fans because they aren't as delusional as them and have learned to be skeptical until this team delivers after 5 straight first round failures, f*** you. We have plenty of reason to not be as optimistic after 5 straight first round losses. Different people deal w these things differently.

And not placing yourself really high only to be pushed off the ledge and let down as has happened for 5 straight years in a row is a totally reasonable way to deal with it. That gives you no right to get on your high horse and mock others for not being as optimistic.

If we lose on Saturday, I think I need to take a break from the team and sports all together. We played well too but I guess Leafs just can't win.
I felt that way after Montreal eliminated us. actually took a long break
This team brought me back and started to believe yet again lol. Im starting to see how all the older leafs fans are so negative towards them. they just let you down.....

BUT we still have Game 7 and time to flip the script, I have almost zero confidence they will win this but they gotta overcome this one day right?

What’s Leaf fans opinion on Lyubushkin so far ? Is he going to stay next season?
Lyubushkin is a solid bottom pairing D who is being forced to play within the top four because his manager is a f***in moron.

They battled back twice to OT in Game 5 and 6 last year and that Game 6 was even more tilted than tonight's OT.
Sure, but they have looked better all around this series, and particularly Matthews and Marner have played well, that’s the difference for me.

Some interesting stats.
Jack Campbell has allowed 3 goals on 8 total career shots in overtime.
The Leafs have scored 0 goals in the first period of their last 6 clinching games.

For the penalties, first call was phantom for sure, second had to be called imo. Thought the elbow in OT should have been called, Kerfoot needs to learn to dive or something I guess.

At the end of the day, Leafs had every opportunity to win this game. And didn't. Again. It was a good effort... moral victory anyone?

Everyone is acting like it is some great accomplishment to get to a game seven... we've lost in game seven in the past 4 playoffs and while this team is better than those in the past, they are doing the exact same things.

2017-18 Game 7 at Bruins, loss 7-4 after winning games 5 and 6 to send it to 7.
2018-19 Game 7 at Bruins, loss 5-1 after alternating wins all series.
2019-20 Game 5 vs Jackets, loss 3-0, after alternating wins all series (Covid bubble, no fans)
2020-21 Game 7 vs Canadiens, loss 3-1, after squandering a 3-1 series lead (Covid, no fans)
2021-22 Game 7 vs Lightning...

So not only has this core lost 4 game sevens, none of the games were really close. Good times.

Us winning this game is like us saying Tampa will lose two in a row lol

Choking or not they couldn't put away even one of those chances which is a Leafs thing. Tampa had a few good chances and was able to put it away. When this went into OT I really didn't have a good feeling about it and hoped the Leafs could change things. They almost did, but almost isn't good enough and Tampa capitalized on the few chances they had.

Well they did play a lot of perimeter circling, behind the net and back to the point in OT to avoid the big turnovers and odd man rushes and there was a lot of clutch and grab so their looks weren't as clean as you'd like. But that's OT in the playoffs...

Kerfoot played okay and motivated for the most part but I have no idea why he was ice dancing like that with the puck. Those were some Disney on Ice moves before the casual drop pass to oblivion. Generally he's got to tone down the skilled hero stuff.

Well that's the difference from top 6 to top 9

Keefe needs to figure out who he can place in top 6. Kerfoot was never a top 6 player

I am impressed with just how shameless Tampa is on selling calls. Not even joking, it's obviously something they focus and practice on.
They hired Neymar as a specialist. Foote threw his head back like JFK. The refs have zero shame. Hell, right before the OT goal, Bunting sure looked like he took a shot to the face. Kerfoot before that. Engvall interfered with before that. I hate going into conspiracy theories, but it sure seems like the officials will call it more for one team. Has this series gone 17+ minutes into a period without a PP? You know the refs saw the Foote replay making them look bad and usually in that case, they punish you for making them look dumb. Not us though. We don't get those calls.

Hopefully it’s Saturday. I don’t know what you do if they lose again.

Pain, nothing but pain. 0-8 in ability to close out a series for us now. Seems like the team has one more shot in game seven to change that. I thought we played well, especially in overtime, but didn't score.

I don't know who we think we are though that we can gift Tampa three goals in a elimination game. Every goal they scored tonight but the OT winner we gifted them, first goal was a awful play from Kerfoot, 2nd goal was a awful play at the blue line, and third goal is we give them a 5 on 3, regardless if Kampf highsticked Foote or not, you control your stick and we got two f***ing high sticking pens to make it a 5 on 3.
