Mitch Marner isn’t built for playoff hockey. I’ve seen enough. He should be thriving in this type of back and fourth style Florida plays, but he was terrible.

Credit to Bobrovsky with big save after big save.

Gio also looks done.

Bobrovsky was a god. Samsonov sucked.

That was the difference in the game.

However, the Leafs need to elevate their game because Bobrovsky can very well dominate Samsonov this series.

I would like Woll in next game. Sammy has the constant jitters, looks disorganised, and gives constant rebounds for a while now.

The thing is he hasn't been bad enough to warrant that and he's been great in a few games. I just think you put Woll in and what happens if he has a bad game? Now you just messed with Sammy. He was good tonight too aside from the 3rd goal.

The O'Reilly "non-entity" tonight. McCabe was brutal, Gio looking old. Biggest thing though is not putting away some glorious chances.

Samsonov got to own that performance. He was swimming on that 4th goal.

Sloppy sloppy sloppy. So many turnovers, and many unforced. Ridiculously poor execution for large parts of that game (especially early).

PP has to produce on at least one of those.

Once FLA got the lead they made the Leafs look soft and slow.

Bob >>> Sammy in this one.

If they are going to play like that every night, zero percent chance they win this series.

I feel though that is as good as FLA can play... and nowhere near as good as TOR can play.

Be better.

Frustrating game, so many chances but we couldn't capitalize. The powerplay needs to figure their shit out and do so quickly

The mistakes tonight were bad. In particular, Brodie/McCabe looked braindead and it led to 2 goals.

Tidy the mistakes up and have our stars capitalize. We should be alright

It was just one of those nights. A couple bad bounces ended up in our net and our offence just could not break thorough (especially the PP - play like that and we will score more than a few goals in the rest of the series).

At the same time, this was a totally winnable game, despite not really getting the bounces tonight. A few too many mistakes, like Brodie's miscue on the 3rd goal or McCabe's dumb penalty, and not getting that timely save cost us. Sucks, because obviously there is not much margin for error in a 7-game series.

Some easy things to tidy up, but itll be a series, like we all knew.

Didnt think Mitch or Willy were all that good. Marner just wasnt "on" and Willy was way too timid

Need a save, needed some finish, needed to just be a bit better tonight.

Difference is they capitalized on our mistakes, we didn't capitalize on theirs. Play hard, get more pucks to the net and we win.

Sucks we wasted Knies’ first professional goal. Though it is kind of his fault since he was the main culprit in one of Florida’s goals.

Sammy lets in 4 on 2.7 expected goals, continues to be in the negative.

Statistically one of the worst goalies in the entire playoffs (basically only Vasilevskiy was worse).

He makes timely desperation saves but overall he's been really bad.

Any goalie will tell you the 1st and 4th goals can't happen the way they did (1st goal if you are proper square no way the puck goes back door, 4th goal he was so out of control he couldn't even get in decent position to handle a basic low high to a point shot play).

It hit TOR and redirected.

Hecshouldn't have been down but I doubt he reacts in time anyways.

Florida is definitely a faster team than Tampa. Leafs need to adjust and I can see Keefe bringing out the 11/7 next game.
