What was your issue with him? We adjusted well to the forecheck after the first period and basically took over. Some poor on ice decisions shot us in the foot, including 2 poor reads (Knies and McCabe) then a delayed penalty with our safest players on.

Honestly, we were the better team. We're going to win this series. 100%. We laid an egg the last 6 of the first, had some brain dead plays, but we pushed them harder than they pushed us, we had better looks, goalie just beat us this evening.

We will win this series guys.

Leafs had the run of play for most of the game and outshot and out chanced the panthers. Bobrovsky was in a zone and stopped almost everything.

they’re going to need to crash the net more and sift more point shots through.

McCabe was good overall but the bonehead pinches have got to stop. This is getting ridiculous. He’s doing his Justin Holl impressions.

they should go 11-7 next game as Gio is burnt. He can’t play more than 12 minutes a game.

Sammy was very average in this game. He needs to be better.

I'll be concerned if they go down 0-2. To me that was a game they were a little too excited for which caused them to overplay their million chances and make some stupid mistakes. Samsonov can be better and so can the Leaf shooters.

At least the Panthers are giving the Leafs a number of good chances to score unlike with Tampa where alot of the time they were shutting them down. If only they could bury some of those chances they'd be doing alright and maybe even win this game.

Liljegren looked good playing some solid defense and making some nice passes out of the defensive zone. He needs to stay in for good. Nice to see Knies get his first goal and it was a pretty one. Sucks that he helped tip one in going the other way, but Bennett made it a double tip and overall Knies played really well.

Samsonov had his ups and downs so lets hope he can bounce back again in the next game.

Back with the first game blues. Awesome for Knies to get his first NHL goal on the grand stage. The good news is that the PK wasn't detrimental to the cause this time around. The unfortunate part was that the PP somewhat took up that mantle by ultimately failing to execute.
