I think on the whole Woll did enough to help battle for that 1 point.

What's weird about him is he's somewhat beatable on routine shot attempts. But really thrives when things start to go crazy and he has to battle with a second and third effort. For a technique based goalie, he's got a bit of a money goalie side to him.

He's the reason they only got 1 and not in a good way.

Everybody gets excited about whenever he has a scattered good game, and even in those games you are getting 3 past him most nights.

The reality is there are A LOT more bad nights than good but because he either wins despite his shit play, or at least gets to OT like tonight It's not showing up on his record.

Not yet anyway hence nobody notices.

Bruins seem to make up for their lack of actual talent past Pasta by some of the most blatant cheating I've ever seen short of the 70's Philly Flyers...

Honestly, they felt like a generic NHL team with a few familiar faces pasted on in Pasta, the Rat and McAvoy. Everything else is as generic and unremarkable as Seattle, with some great goaltending from Ullmark tonight (and Swayman generally).

Why did we dress Reeves if Marchand is still skating away?

I'm turning onto th dark side here after years being a fan of the positive posters here...

All that matters is who won the game and who is leading the standings. Not who was the better team that lost or getting respect in the handshake line. Nylander crap defensively on 2 goals against. he's always been lazy defensively and always will be. Nice check on your own player, Bert!
Except when the Leafs win in an unspectacular fashion.

The Woll hate is weird... he has a .915 or something close to it and has stolen us multiple games.

He's had a few stinkers, but here are his career stats so far... not giving up hope after 5 bad games this season.

fun game to watch

no idea wtf Tavares was doing in o/t , skates towards the puck carrier bringing another checker with him which caused Willie to cut hard , blow a tire and then JT strolls back in slow motion because the selfish prick was hoping that the B's wouldn't score and he would get fed for a breakaway
Tavares only passes when he has no other option.

Look at it again, he did the Kyle Wellwood move and fell backwards on purpose to avoid the hit from Marchand (giving the puck away in the process).
Dude, once again, if you watch the slow mo replay, Marchand caught Nylander with his knee as Nylander was trying to avoid him. Then he dropped on him with a punch, got up and took off into the offensive zone.

Came to play and showed some character coming back like that against an excellent team.

Woll was bad. Nylander was a Greek tragedy and WTF was Tavares doing on the GWG other than deciding not to skate back; you're the captain FFS.
He shouldn't be imo. Can you imagine being on the team and looking to Tavares. He's not really the inspiring kind.

I thought we were the better team overall, but our OT/SO luck was bound to change at some point.

Nylander screwed up in OT and deserves to be cut some slack considering he carried the team for several weeks, but he has been off since the trip to Sweden.

Yeah it's unfortunate that it blew up like that for Nylander but he usually doesn't cost us like that and has been carrying the Leafs for a while up until they got back from Sweden. I think recovering that one point on that Matthews goal was so key and you can accept the L as a coin flip.

How we play matters... we've been terrible most of the season. We will win more games than lose if we play like tonight.

The puck doesn't always bounce your way, but if they play like this it will more likely than not go their way.

Building on good games is important.
