Likely Konecny + really good RD prospect/top 4 RD at minimum?
But I don't see a reason for Sens to move Brady this season or next unless he asks to.be moved publicly

Sens would be crazy to move this guy.

After how what we just witnessed from Brady at the 4 Nations, it's clear that once he gets a taste of playoff action anyone in Ottawa who ever dreamed of moving him for any reason will be very glad they didn't.

He was born to be a flyer, but yeah no way after this tourney does Ottawa ever trade him unless he forces his way out.

Sanheim + Foerster + first 2025 (worse one out of the 3 picks) ?
The value isnt close and it doesnt take the Sens needs into consideration whatsoever.

The odds of Brady being traded for a non-Norris D are absolute zero. Sanderson, Chabot, Zub, Jensen, Kleven, Yakemchuk… its not a masterpiece, but it is more solid and deeper than the forward group as it is currently.

Brady is a fairly great player. But Flyers certainly don't need to trade for him, it just wouldn't be a meaningful step forward. They have to cruise the FA market, where players like Brady can be signed without giving up assets.

Flyers are just as well off spending their newly undead cap next season ...$9,687,000 in expiring buried/buy-out/retained money...on UFA(s) they can sign for free. Almost $10 mil in money coming off their cap books, PLUS the new cap...they have a fair amount of powder.

With only York, Cates, Foerster and the 2 new Calgary additions to consider resigning, all of whom already are paid $11,700,000...this is Briere's big opportunity. Or he could wait one more season, to get $1,700,000 in additional dead cap to work with, with a few important FAs to consider : Poehling, Ersson, Drysdale, Zemula, Brink...as well as Laughton...who are collectively paid $10,500,000...but nothing very tough.

What he does with all this cap is absolutely his first defining opportunity. In cray worlds...he could free up $20 mil+ for summer of 2026, plus the cumulative cap improvements, and really go big game hunting.

I think they want McDavid

The Flyers aren't one Brady Tkachuk away from being relevant again. Getting a guy like that through an enormous trade which will include every decent prospect in the Flyers system as well as a 1st rd pick or 2 would continue crippling this lost franchise into a hole of ineptitude they've been in for a couple of decades.

Brady is a great player, but Ottawa would want the world for him and he's not THAT good.

It makes no sense from any perspective to trade for him, 1.The assets you give up for him would need to be CLEARLY better 2.Ottawa is in the playoffs with their in prime captain, why trade him?

I mean, the cost would include Michkov and maybe also Bonk, Philly's top assets right now.

That's assuming the Senators want to move on from Tkachuk, which they don't, and that they would want futures, which they also don't because they want to start competing for the playoffs. Philly is a bad trade fit; but maybe every team in the league is a bad fit until he's closer to free agency.

These comments are hilarious

"Start with Michkov"

Michkov value is Brady++

Brady to Flyers isn't a good match at all, Flyers don't need wingers and the only packages of equal value they could offer, both teams would turn .

Konecny is easily a better player than Brady, the age difference make them close, I'd say the value in a vacuum would be

Konecny
Edmonton 1st

For

Brady

Konecny is an elite ESP producer and PK winger who is one of the most complete in the game, would be 100+ points on most teams and you see comments like

"Konecny, Bonk, +"

He'll, the Sanheim (top pair D), Foerster and the Edmonton 1st trade that sens fans are laughing at would make the Flyers a much worse team.

Stutzle would be the much more appealing player and would demand a package like Konecny, Luchanko, Bonk

No, no it absolutely would not.

No GM is placing Brady at a higher value than Michkov, the adds come on the Brady side, and it's not a small afd
