what would the flyers have to do to make this happen? what is the senators price on Brady?
Brady Tkachuks value is astronomical right now. He’s at a price that very few teams would payyou wouldn’t like the price… start with Michkov and we won’t immediately hang up the phone.
The value isnt close and it doesnt take the Sens needs into consideration whatsoever.Sanheim + Foerster + first 2025 (worse one out of the 3 picks) ?
I think they want McDavidBrady is a fairly great player. But Flyers certainly don't need to trade for him, it just wouldn't be a meaningful step forward. They have to cruise the FA market, where players like Brady can be signed without giving up assets.
Flyers are just as well off spending their newly undead cap next season ...$9,687,000 in expiring buried/buy-out/retained money...on UFA(s) they can sign for free. Almost $10 mil in money coming off their cap books, PLUS the new cap...they have a fair amount of powder.
With only York, Cates, Foerster and the 2 new Calgary additions to consider resigning, all of whom already are paid $11,700,000...this is Briere's big opportunity. Or he could wait one more season, to get $1,700,000 in additional dead cap to work with, with a few important FAs to consider : Poehling, Ersson, Drysdale, Zemula, Brink...as well as Laughton...who are collectively paid $10,500,000...but nothing very tough.
What he does with all this cap is absolutely his first defining opportunity. In cray worlds...he could free up $20 mil+ for summer of 2026, plus the cumulative cap improvements, and really go big game hunting.
Needed a good laugh, thanks for thatyou wouldn’t like the price… start with Michkov and we won’t immediately hang up the phone.
Likely Konecny + really good RD prospect/top 4 RD at minimum?
But I don't see a reason for Sens to move Brady this season or next unless he asks to.be moved publicly
No, no it absolutely would not.I mean, the cost would include Michkov and maybe also Bonk, Philly's top assets right now.
That's assuming the Senators want to move on from Tkachuk, which they don't, and that they would want futures, which they also don't because they want to start competing for the playoffs. Philly is a bad trade fit; but maybe every team in the league is a bad fit until he's closer to free agency.
