The Leafs as a whole are just kinda lazy. They play hard when they feel like it (or the media heat starts getting too high) but otherwise, they just don't play hard enough consistently.
wow no mention of Boston in the post you quoted, must be living rent free lol7-4-1 actually before the game but nice try. Boston is 5-4-0. This Boston team just ain't that good.
I’ve been posting every year the leafs have not won a playoff round, 17 straight years and counting. Why didn't you post during the 5 game streak? We know the intentions of users who do only come during bad times. They are not actually fans. Be worried everytime they do well my friends.
Did anyone play well tonight?
Under normal circusmtances i.e. when we were rebuilding I am fine with players learning. But since we seem to be in a win-now mode somethings gotta give.
Contender?!?! We can't even win the series against habs last yearSeems more like re-tool mode, not really a win-now mode.
The Leafs have to be a contender to be in a win-now mode, which they are not.
The bleeding has stopped, that's all we can say.
It is not going up and not going down right now.
What we see is what we get.

This team literally has no secondary scoring.
Even Bunting is meh offensively.
Do people expect us to never lose a game?
That’s the thing people have to put into context. Of the 7 leaf wins, 6 I repeat 6 have come against teams that are currently not in a playoff spot. There schedule has been extremely favourable, and still have a mediocre record of 7-5-1. The leafs are not making the playoffs for 2 reasons, 1) they don’t have a reliable back up goalie. How did dubas think injury prone mrazek would be a good choice. Ridiculous mismanagement. 2) zero depth scoring. The core 4 of scored the last 13 leaf goals, not sustainable. Be worried my friends.
Did anyone play well tonight?
Just cant let this turn into a slump. Losses happen, move on and rebound on Wednesday
Not again Jack
Scoring will be a problem for this team.
Scoring will not be a problem for the four highest paid forwards, but the rest of the forwards will struggle mightily to score.
The current Leafs team is very easy to defend against.
They break out the same way, which is methodical allowing the other team to get organized to defend.
Then the Leafs won't fore-check.
If there is any sustained pressure by the Leafs in the offensive zone, usually it is always on the perimeter, and they can generate a shot, but no rebounds, because no one is in front of the net.
Half the goals scored in the league are garbage goals. Management and the coach do not believe in that, they insist on proving their methods.
Very dull hockey game tonight.
