Post-Game Talk: Leafs lose 1-5 to the LA.Kings. Another great game by Ritchie

If it wasn’t for Quick’s Hall of Fame level goaltending and some random things here and there, this is probably a 3-2 sleepy, routine loss. Not the catastrophe that the 5-1 score would indicate.

it could have even have been a win pretty easily. The concern for me isn't the score, but how the Leafs have to pretty much dominate a game to have a chance at winning. If they let their guard down for even a second, they'll get destroyed. I just don't know how sustainable it is for the team to put together mostly perfect games from here on out

Matthews looks like how Nylander looked that season he missed training camp.

Would there be some way to recreate training camp conditions for him or something? Or is the whole season doomed.

yea and it's not even about the points he'll keep picking up his goals here and there but his overall play night and night out... it's missing the consistency and compete I'm used to from last season and the season prior.

Matthews will be ok. Once he starts scoring he will take the NHL hostage. Just wait for it, it is coming.

Put forth an absolute pathetic effort against a bottom feeding re-building team. Can't score more than one goal on an ancient Quick, pathetic.

This team literally has no secondary scoring.

Even Bunting is meh offensively.

Campbell was atrocious, as was the entire team.

Can't take this team as a legitimate threat when they keep chasing every f***ing game this season. Offensively, they've not been good enough. Secondary scoring used to be sky high, but our third line has zero offense, our forth line has zero offense except for Spezza, but Ritchie has made Spezza's scoring non-existent since his useless ass was inserted onto that line.

Whole team is trash this season, 5 games in a row or not, not good enough to impress me.
