With how the bottom 6 hasn't been scoring, I guess this is the perfect time to insert Semyonov into the line-up.

Its funny to me that our "expensive" depth options (Ritchie & Engvall) have been significantly worse than our budget players (Spezza, Kase, Bunting). I was expecting it (as were most fans), but still funny considering how everybody complains that our bargain bin league minimum players won't work.

Ugly game. Not a lot of good to take away from this one, Tavares was gonna get a pass until the classic no look pass right to the other team. Don’t know what else to say but the schedule ahead has better teams than the kings so they better tighten up quick.

Depth scoring is a very big issue, the big 4 has been electric but they can't carry us like this all season

Thank God Danault is in the west
The big 4 were terrible tonight. Aside from Matthews having some good chances in the 3rd period, I didn’t notice them much. Nylander had the pick a lot but the Kings did a good job making sure he had nowhere to go with it. The 3rd line looked good but they need some more shooting talent on that line. Engvall can go. Either call up Ho Sang or put Nylander on that line because he definitely is not clicking with Matthews right now.

No, the Panthers got goalied tonight. We just weren't good enough.
We definitely got outgoalied tonight, Leafs missed a ton of good chances/Quick made a lot of good saves, and this was Campbells worst game of the season. Need to bounce back next game; depth needs to start contributing or start throwing in top Marlies players and see if any can stick.

Who needs to go more Engvall or Ritchie? Asking for serios

both and throw in Kerplunk

left wing black hole on this team

Thought the Leafs didn't really play all that bad. They didn't give up a whole ton - and Quick made the saves that Campbell didn't. Gonna happen from time to time - Jack's been great.

Rielly - Dermott had a tough night. I bet TD comes out for Holl and we could see Semyonov and/or in too Wednesday.

You mean saves that Price made Campbell should made

That "mediocre" opponent just beat the Leafs 5-1 what does it say about the Leafs?

Every team has games like this, but there's something about a home game on a Monday night--especially coming off emotional wins against divisional opponents--that screams "letdown game" for this franchise. That and Friday nights in Buffalo.

Can't win them all.

The loss itself is forgettable and just one of those games.

From a macro perspective, this team's depth scoring is shaky at best and It will only get worse with Mikheyev's stone hands. They have to find a way to inject some goalscoring into the lineup outside the big 4.

This is another thing that might work fine in the regular season and then cause them to fall apart in a playoff series.

I guess Austin didn’t feel like playing tonight? It’s ok maybe next game
Imagine being paid the $150 000.00 he was to play a game and decide to not even show up. Must be nice. Up until tonight, he really was playing more like his usual self. Hopefully not a case of 1 step forward two steps back.
