I thought he was ok. He could have been a little better but he did well not to let the game get away from us. You just won't win a lot of games only scoring two goals; you also wont win a lot when you give up three. We just weren't good enough in both ends.

Coach? GM? President? Trades? Or no hope no matter what changes they make? Too much invested in the top 4 to have a well rounded team. I dont see any cup possibilities with this group moving forward! If things don’t improve in subsequent years I expect treliving to get fired, a new gm will eventually fire Berube. Marner won’t be resigned iif the leafs miss the playoffs. I expect a taveras offer of $3 million per. But in all honesty the leafs are screwed. You don’t win cups with average defence, inflated caphits, and a piss poor bottom 6.

Media would run a few puff pieces about how the organization is taking a deep hard look at everything and blah blah blah. Two months later, they would be writing about how it would be foolish to throw away everything in a knee jerk reaction so they probably should run it back at least one more time, just in case. Shanahan would do a few "I take all responsibility" pressers before cashing his bonus and onto next year.

I don’t think many of us actually think either is leaving and that’s the frustration. We have more then enough evidence this mix is not a serious winning group
