It's the new age of dman. They are not looking for the huge clapper. They are looking for lanes to get the puck at the net, and they will move laterally at the blueline to look for it.

My top 5 clappers from the Blueline in a habs uniform over the last 20 years.

1. Souray
2. Weber
3. Streit
4. Subban
5. Bergeron

It's quite a list now that I look at it.

We got a lot of big clappers over the year; we need to have something at least we got that. Another one who has the shot to kill but never really got use for that here is Dave "Robocop" Manson.

Robocop because he talk like him after the injury he got after a shot he receive on his neck! I didn't know if he got the surgery to correct that. At the time if I can remember well he said he want to wait the end of his career before his surgery! I have saw him last week on a bench, I can't remember which team, but he has stay in the hockey world without my knowledge!

Looks like we are limiting to NCAA..... I'm gonna go way back

John leclair had 116 points in his 92 game college career.... He only played 10 games in d3 but tallied 16 points.

Craig Conroy 65 points in 34 games in d4..... 164 points in 140 career college games.

No shit! There are men in the mid 20’s playing undergrad ice hockey!

It's better than CHL in terms of monitoring a young players growth/development. In the CHL, you see a lot of situations where a 18 or 19 year old can take advantage of a 16 or 17 year old. In the NCAA, it's usually 18-23 range so there is more value in terms of watching how they perform against more mature and physically stronger players.

I'm trying to stay humble with Hutson. Loads of potential but I'm going to wait for when he turns pro before I get my hopes up.

Lane Hutson confirms he's 5'10

"I expect to grow a little bit more," he predicted. My brother (Quinn) is 5'11". I'm already at 5'10 and feeling great. When I jump on the ice, I find that we are all the same size.

“I gained a little weight. I weigh 164 lbs. I don't want to gain too much weight quickly and lose quickly. I have to be myself."

If he can settle in at 5'11 and between 175-180 lbs, I see absolutely zero concern with that based on his style of play.

Hell if he was a jockey he'd be out of work.

SLAFKOVSKY, HUTSON, BECK and ENGSTROM on same draft? That's reminds me of the draft 2007 of Habs with MCDONAGH, PACIORETTY AND SUBBAN!!

That's confirmed, he is 5"10, i'm so happy right now... same size of Quinn Hughes and Sam Girard he can be 5"11 like Makar and Fox. That's a huge good news for Habs!!

He is going to be a fantastic player to watch at NHL level, no doubt about that!!
