Anyone have the reverse angle of komarov taking Doughty into the boards?

I definitely saw the carter spear on Kadri. Happened right after the above penalty. Nothing to lose sleep over.

Not sure why anyone here bothers with the main board. Check out the history of hockey forum if you haven't . Some seriously quality posters on there, and by and large people know how to articulate their points without attacking people personally.

I saw nothing from Schenn tonight to suggest he's a liability, or even below average in his own zone. He portrayed good defensive awareness, gap control, great outlet pass. Kid was drafted fifth overall for a reason. Hope we can repair all the damage those dopes in Toronto and Philly caused.

My only critique would be his first pass and stick handling behind the net was weak. Needs improvement

Mersch and Vl looked good together...Nolan could be easily replaced.
Was this Gaborik's best game of the year? Guy was a beast, keep him with Carter and TT with Kopitar.
Luke Schenn came as advertised IMO. Took a bad penalty but if not for him the game likely would have gone to OT.
Carter seemed to get sheltered minutes. Imagine he is still not 100%.
Polak deserved the major but not the game IMO.
I loved when Doughty took it upon himself to play the drums on Komarov.

Solid début from the new guys. Schenn was very solid and having him out there cut down Doughty's minutes to 26. Low for Drew, lately. A little pep in Vinny's step and nice to have a 4th line center who can puck protect and handle with that kind of size to make a play.

this. drew's toi should be a bit lower as it was before the trade, especially those +30min games are dangerous for injuries. still a long way until the playoffs and there's no need to wear down the top players.

The main board is that way because it is supported by mods and global mods that are biased. That is absolutely a conflict of interest and it's so absurd that they get to control the boards where it's supposed to be for every team. My post or thread about the Leafs or Canucks will get taken down in seconds if I don't provide a link or gif. It also gets taken down when I criticize Canada's favorite team. Then you see a leafs fan post: " kings r gerbage n dirty" and it stays on the board with like a million views and thousands of posts. How is that even close to fair?

I'm now reminded of what Tony said yesterday--that if I'm another GM, I'm wondering how this DL trade is going to come back and bite me in the ass.

If VL and Schenn can keep up that level of play, the trade is not only a steal, it could directly lead to another cup.

Polak's hit is causing a lot of ripples, I was going to comment on a YouTube video but my personal/work account is linked to YouTube so anyway I put some effort into it and thought i'd throw it somewhere, luck you all . Here you go guys enjoy:

I like how you show the favorable view of Leo's aftermath but not the reverse angle of his crosschecking Doughty into the ice.

Polak's Hit: well I'd think it was a 50/50 responsibility as with the boards practically right there, both players were expecting a hit, hence Toffoli's move. The problem was that hit happened to coincide with Polak's incoming hit with his target within a couple feet of the boards.
Polak's Hit decision is essentially a 1v1 as there was no other King player in an attacking option, aside or ahead of Toffoli. Polak's angle and speed already had Toffoli cut off from gaining any more ground in the Leaf's zone. Polak wasn't aware of this, but Toffoli was. Toffoli is not going to play like Lucic with going into Polak's hit, Polak probably doesn't know this, but Polak obviously isn't aware of this as he already has Toffoli lined up for a hit when he enter's the zone. Your 12 frames is Polak's commitment to the hit. Look at your replay again, by the time another King is even in the frame for support of any play for Toffoli, Toffoli was already on the ground.
Polak's hockey vision is what I question because his support, Markov and JVR were just waltzing in the zone to support with little to no urgency. So no, I'm not gong to even venture a guess as to what DPS would do with this. But with my points I've given, maybe you can see the difference between the player's one that has vision, Toffoli, and one that just hits, Polak. I believe Polak was the one in control of the forthcoming play as Toffoli had no support, both players I'm sure thought the other was going to continue on their trajectory which i'm sure would have been a clean hit. All i'm really saying is there could have been a better play by Polak.

I know the head coach wants to protect his player from media scrutiny, but Mike Babcock's post-game interview bothered me since he claims Polak *tripped* over Toffoli and they fell into the boards.

He also added that the onus was on Toffoli since he chose to turn and put himself into a vulnerable position. Which to some point is true, but it makes me wonder if he would remain consistent and say the same thing if it was one of his own players that was on the receiving end.

Everything the Kings do is dirty. Meanwhile the Leafs were just "annoying" us. So smashing Drew's face into the ice is annoying. Kadri spearing Lucic is annoying. Yet when we retaliate….it's dirty.

Obviously the Kings will have to replace Bailey with Pig-Pen in a Kings jersey as the official team mascot.
