Funny part of this is, both that thread and the Carter "spear" thread remain open allowing people to piss all over Kings players while the Lucic clean hit on Kadri thread got closed (by a leafs mod) after like 9 posts.

This thread is drawing to an end... So nice that the Kings won't be facing that joke of a team again. Now they can disappear into the frozen wasteland known as Toronto and the Kings can look forward to the playoffs.

That's one good thing about Schenn.. put an end to "Polak to LA" It's like TO only has the draft to look forward to.

Bunch of knuckle draggers in this thread. It's obvious no one (not shocking because the Kings fanbase was est. 2012) knows the greatness that is the Toronto Maple Leafs. A powerhouse Original 6 team that was damn near unbeatable in 1904. Respect the Leafs.

I think Vinny will continue being effective because of the support--he was very effusive in his praise of the Kings on being right where you expect them and talked about how puck support is always there. He doesn't have to 'carry the mail' so to speak. Same with Schenn--when you can count on your teammates to do what's expected, you can simplify your game, too.

Reminds me of what Babcock said about "good teams don't trick you, good teams just beat you." There's not a lot of deception in what we do, but when we execute, we're unstoppable; Vinny said something like it only took 10 minutes to learn how we play...sounds like chess.

After getting CF% bludgeoned by 70% and being bailed out by their goalie putting up a .980 for most of the game, the Leafs took us to the brink of a tie by scoring a PP goal on a PP received by driving our superstar defenseman's head into the ice, and then generated hardcore zone pressure for a minute at the end of the game.

Minor correction: The Leafs scored on the power play from the Trevor Lewis slashing against Tyler Bozak penalty.
