That is now two top 10 picks which have been utter failures during this rebuild. Who knows where this team would be if they didn’t win 2 lotteries
Not saying you're wrong but could be Zegras (guy is an offensive dynamo) and Lundell instead (at least according to reports about who they liked) but then again they might have picked an Amirov

We needed to move multiple bodies for a legit player and we never really did that.

We loaded up on prospects but you have to move some if you don’t have spots. We clearly wanted to move kravtsov and Jones for Eichel and that didn’t happen so now they’re blocked for who knows how long. Said it yesterday kravtsov is never playing the PP here. Never. He’s not playing too 6. He’s not a fit

And we chose age and "now" production over the future.

So glad we are now locked into a top 6 where half of it's players are 28 or older so we can do this all over again in 3 seasons.

Lias did the same thing. Is it entitlement or how we manage these kids? Or is it the type of players we draft? Which would also concerning because this organization puts so much emphasis on drafting "players with character."

No matter how you dice it, it's a bad look for the rangers and their ability to draft and develop top young players.

Obviously they underestimated the character of two highly drafted kids. If you want to give the organization the benefit of the doubt then maybe you blame scripted interviews but they should have a better idea if they’re doing their due diligence. I wonder if a language barrier could be an issue? I know they have translators, but maybe it’s tougher to get a read going through a 3rd party? Although, Lias probably spoke English. I’m not criticizing Euro’s at all - just wondering if it’s tougher to get a read in an interview.

I am not gonna blast anyone, enough guys doing that,
but you'd think they'd pull Krav and Bread and management into a room, talk it thru, w eye in big picture, and get everyone on same page. Not a situation that actually merits such drama.

One gets the sense, yet f***ing again, that communication is a desperate weak point in this organization.

I can completely understand him. He has great offensive talent and is constantly put in shit roles on the team. He deserves to be given a better opportunity on a team where he can have the opportunity of a more offensive role. He was a big point scorer in the KHL at a very young age yet he's treated like a bottom line talent.

I actually contemplated how Kravtsov has always been given the short end of the stick on all of this with the same ketchup effect of young forwards as for defensemen.

If Lundkvist would've been sent down I would absolutely have asked for a reaction that it's unacceptable towards his development as a player. Kravtsov doesn't want to be groomed into a bottom line role in the NHL. Again, I can completely understand his frustration.

Isn't that the reason they sent him to Hartford in the first place? so that he can play top line minutes?

If you think you're so damn hot then blow everyone away in training camp and preseason to where they can't possibly demote you. Fact is - Guathier was the overall better player.

And let's not go overboard - he was NEVER a huge scorer at the KHL level and did even worse during his AHL stint. Buchnevich outscored him in the KHL and didn't bitch out when the team decided he could use some seasoning in the minors.

If Hayton isn't gonna complain like Lias/Kravtsov I would be calling up arizona right now.
Maybe we get some luck and he still has some chemistry with Laf in a year or two

I can completely understand him. He has great offensive talent and is constantly put in shit roles on the team.

He has played 20 NHL games and those were under a different coach and different regime. Yeah I think he should have been given more of a role then but more importantly he was given a chance in camp on a good 3rd line that features another skilled young player and the possibility to get plenty of ES icetime, he even got a chance at playing with top talent in the preseason, and at best he did "ok". He wasn't put in "shit roles", he didn't earn a better spot.

He deserves to be given a better opportunity on a team where he can have the opportunity of a more offensive role. He was a big point scorer in the KHL at a very young age yet he's treated like a bottom line talent.

He's been treated like a player who needs to earn a spot and who hasn't quite been ready for that yet.

If Lundkvist would've been sent down I would absolutely have asked for a reaction that it's unacceptable towards his development as a player. Kravtsov doesn't want to be groomed into a bottom line role in the NHL. Again, I can completely understand his frustration.

What makes you or these guys think that they can just come over and jump right into the NHL like it's no big deal? It's far different style of play than the SHL or KHL. Kravtsov was OK, but he got outplayed. He wasn't being groomed for a bottom line role, the Rangers explicitly don't want him in a bottom line role because he's not that kind of player. But he didn't earn a top line role.

What you did in another league doesn't matter if you're not ready to prove you belong in the NHL.

What does he expect to happen by doing this? Is there another team willing to automatically put him in the top 9? I can’t imagine there are many so in all likelihood he be in the same situation. I get his frustration but if he plays well he’s so close, I feel like this just sets him back more from his own goals

come to NYC and the world is your oyster. No how about come to NYC and work your ass off until you are clearly better and ready. of course not tho. This is why when these kids are drafted they need to be immediately told you are not playing for the big club. Go marinate and mature in juniors/Europe whatever

well if Vitali was smart and/or mature he would realize if he played well in Hartford he would be up very soon.
Is it that hard for a 21 year old with his entire career ahead of him to accept a month playing in the AHL?
I haven't heard a peep out of arizona and Hayton...or in LA with all their prospects. Why the f*** is this happening here?

He left for the KHL, and, if I really correctly, had problems on the teams there, and then came back "more focused and more mature." First sign of adversity, we're back to this.

Wants to walk onto an NHL team after a camp where he looked like he was coasting at times. Did it to himself, in my opinion.

I don't know if the NYR org is promising these kids the moon or what.
