He's already said he's had calls and didnt like what's being offered.

Embrace the suck.
What does he expect from a 3rd liner getting paid almost 4 million who only has 1 assist in 12 games.

I'd be happy with getting Brian Gionta and a 3rd for him.

I dont know. I think this season is an abomination for everyone and if I was an opposing GM would recognize the Kings as a tire fire and would think that his career norm would be attainable elsewhere. I wouldn't offer full value but I'd hope that Blake sticks to his guns.

That's assuming other GMs want a 3rd liner getting paid almost $4m who only has 1 assist in 12 games.

The Kings should have talked to Doughty before Kopitar's contract extension and told him they were going to build around him, then traded Kopitar. If Doughty wasn't down with it, then trade Kopitar and Doughty. The rebuild would have been in full swing by now. Four years after the run was over Robitaille and Blake are still screwing around with this roster.

What's the point of Blake making a trade now? He won't get full value. GMs are more comfortable trading near the trade deadline. Blake might as well wait to deal then.

The one thing Blake can do now is fire Stevens, and get a replacement coach. Or look for a replacement coach, and when he finds one, fire Stevens. I think you need a new coach first before making changes to the roster. It would be good to get the new coach's perspective on the team and the players before making trades.

Practice underway in Gundo. Looks like a special teams-type day. >>>>>>>>

Really?? Special Teams like the Nashville Preds and Winnipeg Jets are on the ice in Gundo?? Cool!
I wish I was there.

I slept in hoping for news when I got up.

Confused and disappointed.

I did the same...even checking some twitter tweets...the day is not over! confused. disappointed. dejected. brutal results demand bold actions, no soul searching.
no excuses. no wait and see. all have seen and are repulsed. the balances in the scale demand actions NOW, no matter the pain.

Does John have any insider information or is he just a fan that writes articles?
He has some connections I believe. He just throws out a ton of ideas and when one sticks he claims it was his inside information that led him to that idea. The only thing he's gotten right in the moment off the top of my head was when he said Quick was returning from injury against the Ducks a number of seasons ago and no one else had any clue he was playing.

He wrote an article months before Brown was stripped of the "C" that he could see it happening with Kopitar being the Kings best player and him getting a new monster contract. Also wrote an article months in advance that Sutter would be fired at the end of the season and claimed he was right on both of those.

My favorite was when he sent out a tweet saying the Kings weren't making any trades on that particular day and everyone could relax and then about 10-15 minutes after that the Kings made a trade.
