He is a very streaky player. The issue is the goal streaks are very smallSo, Slaf's hot streak ended?
People can argue whether he should develop here or in the AHL all they want but the truth is he’s just a horrible first overall pick that won’t develop in any league.
He’s bad, no IQ, no shot, no situational awareness, limited skill, absolutely nothing is elite except on a tape measurer and when he steps on a scale.
Can’t people he was our pick, I guess I’ll just think of Lane Hutson to feel a little bit better.
That’s exactly what I said and it underlines that you are only basing you comparison in the previous quoted message with the paper instead of looking at what was done in the ice.it's about what they did and how much of an influence it had on the rest of their career.
He was on an 82 goal pace during that hot streak. Not bad!!So, Slaf's hot streak ended?
I just send your CV to all NHL executives they can't wait to hire you and pay you millions a year.People can argue whether he should develop here or in the AHL all they want but the truth is he’s just a horrible first overall pick that won’t develop in any league.

You’re going to get flamed for saying this but oh well. I saw flashes of what Kohtkaniemi and Galchenyuk were supposed to be. I haven’t seen it with Slafkovsky. I really don’t get what they were going for with this pick.People can argue whether he should develop here or in the AHL all they want but the truth is he’s just a horrible first overall pick that won’t develop in any league.

So, what'd Slafkovsky get up to last night?
The hits of Slafkowsky getting smoked just keep coming.
Size, skill, speed. He’s got the tools. Then again so does Josh Anderson. You’re going to get flamed for saying this but oh well. I saw flashes of what Kohtkaniemi and Galchenyuk were supposed to be. I haven’t seen it with Slafkovsky. I really don’t get what they were going for with this pick.
He hasn’t shown any skill and his speed has been mediocre as well. Tired of people trying to sell size. It doesn’t mean anything if the player doesn’t use it in any productive way.Size, skill, speed. He’s got the tools. Then again so does Josh Anderson.
I can see why we drafted him. The tools are there. It’s not often you can get a big skilled player who can skate. But with a player like this, development is key and I feel like we’ve done a really poor job on that front.
He does have it, that's obvious. The big issue is he can't use it to his full capabilities because the game is so fast for him at the moment. He needs to work on those skills in Laval. He hasn’t shown any skill and his speed has been mediocre as well. Tired of people trying to sell size. That's pretty ridiculous given how big he is. Who's the fastest?

Love it when facts defeat pure bullshit.
Ridiculous. No wonder our fans are famous for booing their own. It's an embarrassment. Even IF, and that's a massive IF, you were remotely close in your assessment, he's only played 51 games...and the GREMLIN (of all people) declares he's a bust. LMFAO.People can argue whether he should develop here or in the AHL all they want but the truth is he’s just a horrible first overall pick that won’t develop in any league.

Yeahhh well I’ve been saying it since draft day, he sucks. You’re going to get flamed for saying this but oh well. I saw flashes of what Kohtkaniemi and Galchenyuk were supposed to be. I haven’t seen it with Slafkovsky. I really don’t get what they were going for with this pick.
Slaf has various elements on paper that could make him a good player if ever he can bring everything together.I disagree, he has a lot of potential. You can say it's just size but his size skating combo is elite (not debatable, we have the numbers), and he has enough skill with that combo to be potentially devastating.
He just has an extremely narrow game right now. Playing against the toughest opposition is not the best place IMO to broaden your game.
I guess it’s true the kid is powerful and has decent top speed, but he’s also extremely heavy.
Only the idiots. No one that calls a 19 year old a bust after 51 games has ANY credibility. Whether he's a Leaf or a Habs player. It's plain dumb.Yeahhh well I’ve been saying it since draft day, he sucks.
I used to attend prospect camps and do writeups, everyone was flaming me too when I called Scherbak a bust.
Same old comments every time, put a Leafs jersey on the kid and pretty sure the whole board would call him a complete bust already.
