I cant recall the last 1OA who didn't resemble an NHL player in their D+2 season. We're in uncharted territory here.

I think that Slaf would perform in the AHL.

But if a player can't perform in the AHL, then they should not be in the NHL.

Hes done, Ive started cooking at 14, even Slafkovsky cant handle me.

Except in a kitchen with very high ceilings.

Fan & media vitriol certainly does affect athletes... Hopefully the team is right in believing that Slaf has the personality to deal with that.

And, as Yak's career showed, no more certain of having an elite player in the making.

Interestingly, Yak's rookie season is a good example of the risk of letting an offensively talented rookie just play to score points with little emphasis or pressure on building wining habits, refining existing strengths & addressing weaknesses...

Habs are taking the polar opposite approach. Will be interesting to see how Slaf's game evolves over time as a result.
