JT Miller had his first kid in the summer. This version of him isn’t the standard version (may be more similar to his 34+ version).
He’s a father of 3

Welp. He had his third kid this past summer then. They now out number the parents (I’m assuming). He’s a father of 3
Never have more kids than you have arms.Welp. He had his third kid this past summer then. They now out number the parents (I’m assuming).
He has two daughters and they are like 5 or 6Parents would know how shit life is in the 1st year.
I take it back lolHe has two daughters and they are like 5 or 6
He played well again yesterday from what I saw. Another nice pass on Podkolzin's goal.
I expect it.Wonder if JT can crawl back to PPG. 5 points under with a light schedule coming in March/April and likely more minutes with Horvat gone.

He is now playable at C.He's been much improved under Tocchet, and was also much better November-January under Boudreau than he was in October.
This 'he's unplayable at C' stuff was hysteria. He's been plenty playable at C for long periods in the NHL. He was unplayable at C in October and I have no idea what the f*** happened there to create a level of play that poor, but that was an exception and not the rule.
Where the hell did you get that 8 minutes less number? He is now playable at C.
His line doesnt generate anything 5on5 still but now that he plays 8mins less per game he isnt gassed.
Call it hysteria all you like. Miller is not a top6 center.
There was the Seattle game where he played just 16mins and after that I must have compared 5on5 numbers with Tocchet vs total ice time under Bruce.Where the hell did you get that 8 minutes less number?
He also played a few 17-minute games under Bruce, so really no change at all. There was the Seattle game where he played just 16mins and after that I must have compared 5on5 numbers now vs total ice time before.
Thanks for pointing that out.
His 5on5 minutes have been slashed. He also played a few 17-minute games under Bruce, so really no change at all.
They haven't though. He had similar ice time under Bruce in terms of both TOI and special team ice. His January 14th game sheet doesn't look much different than his sheet for tonight's game. His 5on5 minutes have been slashed.
Im sure you knew this. With your nickname and all.
He had 2 10min 5on5 games under Tocchet already. They haven't though. He had similar ice time under Bruce in terms of both TOI and special team ice. His January 14th game sheet doesn't look much different than his sheet for tonight's game.

Ok lets rephrase that.Huh?
He's probably better served as a winger. It's an easier position. But saying he's not even a top 6 Center is just absurd.
Ok lets rephrase that.
Miller is not a top6 center on a team that is trying to contend.
He had two outlier games, Tocchet's first two games behind the bench, and then four games where his ice-time looks completely unchanged from how Bruce was using him. If Tocchet wanted to play Miller less at 5-on-5 you'd think that trend would have continued instead of lasting for two games and then ending. He had 2 10min 5on5 games under Tocchet already.
He barely had any under Bruce all season.
Had no idea this was something I would actually have an argument over.
There is no trend to be found either way then. As in you cannot read anything at all in to the 5 games under Tocchet. If you are willing to remove 40% of the sample as "outlier games." In a 5 game sample size... Why even bother replying? He had two outlier games, Tocchet's first two games behind the bench, and then four games where his ice-time looks completely unchanged from how Bruce was using him. If Tocchet wanted to play Miller less at 5-on-5 you'd think that trend would have continued instead of lasting for two games and then ending.
The attached document has all of his TOI numbers in seconds listed as TOI, even strength, PP, PK. The x indicates a game that went beyond 60 minutes, the t indicates games under Tocchet. There isn't any trend to be found.
You are just overemphasizing his last years complete outlier of a season. You're still over exaggerating based on a bad first half of the season.
Hes a point per game player.
The hate on Miller around here is so overboard.
