"I would bet on the 1st line to put some pucks to the net in the next games, that line is the least of the Jets problems. "
Called it Laine's turn for the goals next, man's due for a few I mean that shooting percentage
It's not only shooting percentage, though. Number of high danger shots is pretty low for Laine so far. He has been able to make excellent scoring changes for his mates, but not that much vice versa. Esp. Connor has been usually feasting on good dishes, but it's too rare he makes a play for Laine.
iHDCF is 29, 28 and 9 for #81, #55 and #29 respectively. That's a low number all things considered. Also iSCF for these guys: 78, 56 and 47 respectively.
Obviously Laine should have scored more on his scoring changes, but actually having 4 goals out of 47 scoring changes is "better" than 6 goals out of 78 scoring changes. Laine is used to have much higher real goal count than his ixG, since xG does not (usually) include shooting skill, SH% or anything, but this season his ixG is 4.72, which is higher than his real goal count of 4 (and I think one of those real goals was an empty netter anyway). Scheifele has been able to beat ixG with ~3 goals (8G vs. 5.26xG), and Ehlers has doubled the amount of real goals (8) versus expected goals (3.99).
Anyways, things are going pretty well for the Jets all things considered. It was really important that CSL got some rewards so that Maurice is not tempted to break them up soon and return to what we know that it's not working: the static duo Scheifele & Wheeler. No worries, we are going to see that line again (and again and again) in the future as Maurice continues to be the coach. I am just hopeful this current dream lasts more than 10 games.
