If you’re starved for Isles hockey news fear not.
William Dufour is back tonight in the Sea Dogs first game in 7 weeks.

One game every 7 weeks. He'd fit in well with the Isles this year.William Dufour is back tonight in the Sea Dogs first game in 7 weeks.
Was thinking the same thing. Probably is not getting the Offensive mins with Salo in this year. Based on his rookie year, where he looked like the best Isles prospect in BP to me, I watched a handful of games. This is a let down. Still he is a big lanky guy, and a wily ol GM once said, you give more time to big lanky guys to fill out and to get their coordination. What happened to Bolduc this year
It's why I beg that we hit on Rajaniemi or Liukas or Malinen. We need those guys to be big parts of this team in some way. Given how Tampa pulls out a Ruuta or Katchouk or Palat out of their asses, when are we finding that talent? The Isles need to unearth a gem. One thing is getting your 1st rounders right, but we could desperately need that player picked in the late rounds that proved an absolute steal. It's been long time since we did that, and for me that is the cruncher for the scouts and where they really make their living.
William Dufour scores his 23rd goal of the year in a 4-0 win.
To be fair, I don't think any one of them projects to more than fringe NHLers at best. They may well get signed but it's long way from there to making it on the Island. You need some special qualities to make it as a late round pick, and I'm not sure if they have that. The good thing is that they seem to be doing fairly well in a grown men's league in Finland, so transition to Bridgeport should be easier. It's why I beg that we hit on Rajaniemi or Liukas or Malinen. To me, I think that if they at the very least get to the AHL, that is a start. Then we can hope they help the farm team, because Bridgeport desperately needs to stop being awfulTo be fair, I don't think any one of them projects to more than fringe NHLers at best. Dufour seems to be the one closest to being really excited about of the late picks.

Dufour is in action just now and has two goals after 40 minutes of play.
His team leads Rimouski 6-2 at this point.
Here’s his second goal.
a higher end version of Clutterbuck
That's been my comparison.
Not sure what you mean exactly, but if Dufour becomes a high end 3rd liner who gets close to 20 goals a year while playing a physical style, I'd do a jig. If he turns out better than that, then great. But for a 5th round pick (give or take), a better-scoring Clutterbuck would be a great outcome.Don’t sell yourself short.
I bet you’d be way less of a d!ck if you were interviewed by Shannon.
it would most likely be good given the way the NHL is shifting. we can only hope that Dufour can be a good prospect anywaysNot sure what you mean exactly, but if Dufour becomes a high end 3rd liner who gets close to 20 goals a year while playing a physical style, I'd do a jig. And I thought you were being sarcastic comparing yourself to Clutter. Guess I misread that one.Not sure what you mean exactly, but if Dufour becomes a high end 3rd liner who gets close to 20 goals a year while playing a physical style, I'd do a jig. I haven’t watched Dufour play, but he only has 20 pims on the season. Not exactly Clutterbuck numbers.
Raty just seems to be a very skilled swiss army knife guy the more I think about it. For the isles, that's extremely good to knowVery shallow observation about the two prospects that seem to be producing - Raty produces in a lot of different ways, and Dufour scores a lot off the rush. Dunno if that says anything about Dufour (maybe more about the Q). Pretty exciting, though, to see the ways Raty can contribute.
