Is that possible? If you put Kaprizov on Toronto and Marner on Minnesota, the Wild are a significantly worse team
You and I have different definitions of ‘suffered’. I’ll take the proven play off performer all day long. They are fairly evenly matched until you start including playoffs, and that’s when this argument becomes one sided, pretty quickly. One guy performs, the other not so much. Salary and its impact cannot be discounted either.& his production suffered as a rsult.
Pretty much everything you said there is wrong. Pasta was playing 14 minutes per night (13:57 and 13:58) on a team that missed the playoffs both years. Marner played 16:23 and 16:49 on a playoff team both years being used on the 3rd and 4th lines. I mean, the one thing you got right was his draft position?Pasta's first two seasons he was playing part time in the AHL and getting like 10 minutes a night in the NHL at 18 years old as a late first rounder on a good team.
Marner was getting 17 minutes a night as the 4th overall pick on a bad team at an older age.
& his production suffered as a rsult.
What difference does it make? Has Boston won anything the past decade plus?
Golly gee Cotton! What a difference that cap savings made for a decade plus!Well, they have won at least one playoff round.
Isn't Panarin a LW?This is probably the most fair & accurate comment in this thread. Really, the list could/should go like this......
1. Kucherov
And then Rantanen/Marner/Pastarnak/Panarin/Tkachuk in any order you like.
We're all bickering in meaningless ways, for our favourite guy but really, after the first one, it's very interchangeable.

Definitely. Exclusively even.Meh. Maybe. I've seen Kaprizov up on here too. He's likely more of a LW.
The playoffs doesn't matter, we're talking about the most skilled players in the regular season here, not overall, duhI'd easily take Rantanen over him in a playoff game, no debate.
Right side is Boldy’s spot. Kap plays the middle. He gets the odd shift on the right side on the PP, no?
No doubt because they gave Marner less. Clearly working for Boston. They'll be tipping cars and crying in the streets the day your team wins a round.
Toronto teams have won championships before and that never happened, so no.They'll be tipping cars and crying in the streets the day your team wins a round.

Like I said, no, but thank you for your concern.Baseball and basketball are not hockey, and those teams didn't even exist the last time the Leafs won. You'll be rioting till dawn.
Doesn’t MiIkko have a higher PPG here? Kucherov does have a slightly higher GPG.
It doesn't work like that though...would have is not did.Leafs fan
Marner WOULD HAVE had 95 points except he missed 11 games with an injury and covid wiped out the last 12 games
His 16 goals in 59 games would have been 35
Pasta does this every year, his f***in kid died and he still potted 40 and was over a ppg. That was a down year for him.Rantanen possibly
Pasta, contract year.
Doesn't Panarin play LW?
