Wrong, it was the best skills competition in a while, because aside from Kucherov the players actually tried their best and didn't do cringy shitIt was more embarrassing to see McDavid going all out like this is game 7 of the Stanley Cup.
I love that he gave 100%, only thing that sat off was the fact he did design the events.Huh? You're mad at a player for giving 100%?
Even if he tried tell me one comp he could have won? Him and Drai are in game players, I don’t think either “tried” because they weren’t very good at themLast night I attended a hockey party where they were about 5-6 kids wearing Kucherov jerseys who were excited to see him play and show his skills. A couple of the kids actually took off his jersey and threw it lol
A lot of the parents and kids were quite upset at how he acted in the skills competition and didnt even bother trying, laughed about it and mocked fans.
What do you guys think? Most people at this party were saying even if he didnt want to be there he should have at least sucked it up and gave his fans what they wanted. A few of the kids were extremely upset by his actions and left very disappointed.
Seemed super selfish to me.
Thoughts?
It may be the only chance some get to see certain players. I haven’t watched an all star game since probably the 80’s but I completely get people booing someone slapping them in the face. Reality is, slap someone, be prepared to be slapped back.I mean nobody forced them to pay for a known bad quality product
Yea, I call bullshit on the OPs story for sureI'll admit not a good look but the OPs story sounds pretty manufactured to me, lol.
As for least liked, probably among Toronto fans, but sure looked like his fellow players enjoyed it, and Mackinnon and others are already on record saying he's the player they most enjoy watching.
Maybe because it gave you flashbacks to when we beat you in 5. Your post is embarrassingIt was more embarrassing to see McDavid going all out like this is game 7 of the Stanley Cup.
The all star game is a corporate circle jerk, and is all about generating money for the NHL masquerading as being ‘for the kids’
The people freaking out about him not putting on a show ‘for the kids’ is hilarious in this thread. The show starts in June.

They're suspended if they refuse to goDon't even go if you don't want to try. Seems pretty obvious really.
If he can skip a season he can probably skip a game. They're suspended if they refuse to go
A true samurai doesn’t get paid an seven-or-eight figure sum a year, created primarily by the profits generated by them using their swords to entertain the public.a true samurai does not unsheath his sword for the amusement of the public
He should be free to choose whether he should go to the ASG or not. Fining him for not wanting to be present is also incredibly selfish. He's just demonstrating that he doesn't agree with it and it's good, maybe he'll have an alternative where he won't be forced to lose in the future. Tell that part to your kids as well.
Kids have a chance to see these players at least 82 times a season. On TV or half the time at the arena or at least a few times every season. No need to act hurt just because your little party got destroyed..
Jack Hughes during the draft basically said he wants to play with Kucherov when they were discussing picksI'll admit not a good look but the OPs story sounds pretty manufactured to me, lol.

I bet there was no “skills contest watch party”I bet you didn't see anybody throw the jersey.
