Basically completely half assed the skills by going in slow motion and not trying.I didn't watch last night. What exactly did he do thats got so many jimmies rustled?
He trolled the event, because it's little kid practice drills. Also, I think he was so hungover he knew if he exerted at all, he'd puke on live TVI didn't watch last night. What exactly did he do thats got so many jimmies rustled?
You think he helped gain sponsors or promote the sport? You can think about Nikita whatever you want, but NHL does this weekend for sponsons and promotion. Kucherov brought more attention (money) than McDavid's generational effort.
^Btw, I don't do this often but trying to embed the clip from Twitter and it won't work under the media option. Don't know if a mod can help me out.
he for sure did nothing to help his image.
Sure he struggled but he could have had some fun and got the crowd into it
If it was me, I would have called a guy over with a mic and got the kids involved.
why does this come across as a serious take? You can think about Nikita whatever you want, but NHL does this weekend for sponsons and promotion. Kucherov brought more attention (money) than McDavid's generational effort.
Number 2This thread is number 1 bullshit.
It's an NHL event. The PA isn't going to agree to an un-incentivized weekend jumping through inane hoops.I wouldn't pay good money to attend an all star weekend. I'd love to attend one but players don't take it seriously so you will never see full effort in the games.
I don't get the cash prizes. Giving multi-millionaire hockey players more money makes no sense. Make it for charity of their choice and it would be more appealling.
Easily, more people watch, more sponsors. I didn't give a damn about skills competition and this weekend, but after everyone started complaining about Kucherov, I decided to watch, to find out what the hell happend. I suppose I'm not the only one who did this. You think he helped gain sponsors or promote the sport?
Any highlights/footage? Kucherov is almost always a sour puss. Dude shows up every Lightning game looking like he ate a bag of scorpions and is 2 hours into a hangover. And then he scores 4 points and doesn’t even smile.he struggled big time during the skills comp and acted miserable

He reminds me of that line in "Miracle" where the US team member jokes "they get shot if they smile" when looking at the Soviet team
