He's put himself in position to shoot and show as a wing so that's positive and the nice around the net plays.

I thought he had one of his better games in recent memory last night.

Could have had a goal if he didn't ring it off the post.

Maybe wing is the long term solution for him. It certainly wouldn't be a bad thing.

I'd even say it's a legit top 6, if we managed to build a young, somewhat bluechip third line behind it as well.

Reichel and Slaggert are great options to fill out the top 9.

Then you got Kurashev, Entwistle and Slavin to help fill out the bottom of the lineup.

We've got some young guys that can be decent role players. Still need to draft an elite forward though.

Yeah agree with that. We need that elite forward badly, thats when the depth slots in properly.

Im counting on Reichel to be an integral part of the top 9, but how close is Slaggert? Could be that by the time he arrives Toews is leaving. Or i guess Tazer could be a nice 3C if he wants to continue with another contract.

I feel like they will give Slaggert and Rolston another year together at Notre Dame and then sign them together. That'll be 3 years of college which I feel like is the sweet spot. Same applies to Kaiser and Commesso. I think the 4th year gets dicey because they can opt to go the free agency route.

Chicago has no reason to rush their prospects, and Davidson understands that.

But Slaggert's older brother, Graham, is in his last year with Notre Dame. I think it'd be wise to sign him to an AHL deal as a sign of good faith towards Landon. He'd be a good player to have in Rockford.

Dach cannot be a goid center if he remains lousy on draws...He also needs to stop tryingvto make fancy pkaysxandbibsyead just shoot the puck more himself...Has gotvto work on his release and shot ...Has hot to increase his leg strength to get batter balance and then be hands to push off the puck... All this list isca lot of off-seaspn WORK this summer..

Face offs...Strome improved by taking up juggling...Fact needsctp do that too...

Bring in Mike Bossy to show these guys how to release and score goals. WORK ON THE WRIST SHOT.

Find out tgecdrilks Crosby used to get amazing gleg and lower body strength.. Get that balance problem Dach has fixed..Too wobbly...too easy to knock off the puck by pushing him off balance..Major issue as I see it.

Dach needs a lot of work to fix his game.

Experience and offensive confidence and production will help improve his defending work ethic too.

He can becone a better and more complete player player IF and only IF he works on his current flaws ... gains in ability will follow.

why not sell them on the idea of turning pro and making a salary, let them develop in rockford with the other prospects, maybe they get some games like Reichel has this season, its a win-win for both parties, hawks do not want to let the idea creep into their minds to just go ufa, there is a way more downside than upside for the hawks to let them remained unsigned, next thing you know some people are in their ear through back channels and they want to explore their options, can't let it happen with some of the good ones like kaiser, commesso and slaggert

They've got 5 contract spots open right now.

So they could sign Slaggert, Kaiser, Commesso, and Rolston as soon as they're done their seasons. It would be fun to have them all for a Rockford playoff run.

I just don't know what Davidson's plan is.

You let them do what they want. People overly fear the college ufa but more often the guys who leave were told prior no when they wanted to sign or felt burned in some other way.

I recall all the people on here freaking out about Stephen Johns, Hayden, Sikura, or Mitchell but it takes effort for a guy to want to leave.

Rolston I'd try to sign the most even if he didn't want to initially since he's got less of a pull being a trade target. Let him burn a year.

Throwing Dach to the wolves against the other team's top competition every night was f***ing clownshoes to begin with. That's NOT how you develop a center in the NHL. He should have been getting favorable matchups and been used in an offensive role. Getting a lot of o-zone draws. Just more evidence this coaching staff absolutely sucks.

With Mondays game vs Buffalo Kirby Dach will have matched his highest games played in a season from his rookie year in 2019-20

His stat comparisons…
2019-20 64gp 8g 15a 23pts -1 24pim
2021-22 63gp 8g 15a 23pts -12 41pim

Identical numbers!!!

He sandwiched those seasons with a bubble playoff and injured 2020-21, his stats during those games…
2020-21 27gp 3g 13a 16pts 0+/- 8pim
Which would translate to a 64gp season…
7g 30a 37pts…
Meh…hoping for a good game tomorrow…

And is it just me or do other teams HATE Dach, he gets a lot of cheap shots
