What
@nevesis is to Hank, you are to Zucc.
I also fall in the 'never was a fan camp.' I thought he was fine as a project/borderline prospect, but I never had high hopes for him and frankly have never liked his overall game. Sure, he's good on the power play, so was MAB and I never liked him. Kid is undersized, not good in his own zone at all and surely can't handle top minutes. Maybe there's a future for him as a bottom pairing, PP specialist, but I need better context to have a better idea if it's possible.
ADA on the other hand is supremely talented. It's literally his mental **** that's blocking his progress. I really hope the team doesn't give up on him, because he really has the chance to be something special. It's not uncommon to have some guys mature later than others and if he does, he can really be a Letang type of player IMO.
I'm lower on Pionk then you and higher on ADA, but I completely agree with you around how the Rangers should handle this.
Pionk still possibly has a future, as does ADA, while Shattenkirk will certainly have no role on the next incarnation of a cup contending squad that this team ices. He should be sold for whatever we can get and big minutes can be given to Pionk and ADA. Although I'd hope they'd give Pionk better matchups instead of playing him like he's the next McDonagh.
