I’m just happy BTB servers are much improved. Still have issues but it’s more like every 1/10 times instead of 9/10.

I would play more BTB if I liked the maps more.

Truth be told, since Halo Reach, the best BTB maps have largely been Forge creations from fans.

Hoping for some new 343 BTB maps, and lots of Forge creations too.

Yeah there needs to be a lot more maps. This is the problem I had with 5 as well, where I felt like I was getting the same three maps over and over again. It gets stale.

343 hasn’t connected on Map design IMO. It shouldn’t be possible that the best maps in the series were all made over a decade ago

Haven't played in a little while but wanted to run the event for some cosmetics.

Every game I've played has been a lag disaster. I thought it was on my end but I ran a speed check and everything is fast.

They have always brought back the old good ones in previous Halo games and that should be easy to drop a few of those. Not sure what's taking them so long other than this game was so far behind.

Hey @HawksFan74 sorry I didn't get on this weekend, my girlfriend ended up inviting some mutual friends/couples over after our dinner out for a truly epic games night. Couldn't turn down the challenge to defend my Catan crown.

Should be online tonight around 8pm PST though, so give me a shout if you want to play some Halo. I'll probably be playing Control:UE til I get the invite. Cheers

Will do

Certain Affinity is run by Max Holberman I believe, who designed all the Halo 2 maps.

Max Hoberman (no L) was the multiplayer lead on Halo 2 and Halo 3. So he basically guided and signed off on everything from map design to sandbox balance, to UI design.

Certain Affinity has basically been a support studio for a lot of Halo games. They made map packs for Halo Reach, remade the Halo:CE maps for the Anniversary edition, 18 Halo 4 maps between the base release and DLC, and Halo 2 Anniversary map updates.

They also remastered the maps for the COD4: Modern Warfare remaster.

They do good yeoman's work.

I have a lot of opinions about 343 and how they've handled the Halo series since they took over from Bungie, but honestly Halo Infinite's gameplay is so god damn good that none of it matters

For me this game will probably soon if not already be considered the best Halo gunplay ever. I imagine they learned a lot from all the MCC play, seeing what people liked and didn't, seeing what aspects they could pull from each game and then modernize all of it for the 2020's. On gameplay alone 343 did a fantastic job and I haven't enjoyed something from "Modern Gaming" this much since Breath of the Wild. Seriously, job well done.

Ive seen many people complain about hit registration in Infinite on various forums, but never experienced any problems myself.

The shooting feels incredibly crisp and consistent to me.

That said, I am using a 1000/1000 fibre connection and Im a 2 hour drive from the closest dedicated server location, so my experience isnt going to be representative for everybody.

I have no issues either and have the same speed as you, plus I'm hard wired.
