Information about the next five maps for multiplayer have leaked (no pics). I haven't read it, but it's out there for the lot who want to take a look at what they're planning.
Good to know more is coming but I’ve tempered my expectations and don’t expect any until season 2. Would love to be surprised.

I agree with the consensus that the maps are all good, but there isn't a memorable one out of the bunch. Like Recharge plays great, Aquarius is a good map (except the visual design of that being a weed farm), Bazaar is bloody fantastic Arena map (especially in CTF), and Streets is solid. Two of the three BTB maps are also very good (the one I hate is the AA gun one), but the gametype is broken so I haven't played it in like a month and a half. However, there isn't a High Grounds, Lockout, or Guardian from any of them. The one I am I actually disliking more I play it is Behemoth strictly because there are really open choke centres of the map that you give you a bad time. That and the map is super high vs low ground, which doesn't give a lot of players a chance to a win a duel even if they're at low elevation. I still think every map destroys anything we found in Halo 5 when that game shipped.

I want to see more Foreunner-based maps in the future, too many of the maps that came with the game had zero relevance with the campaign compared to what we saw with the Halo games under Bungie. Like, there is no point whatsoever that the design 343 gave Aquarius has any sort of ties with Zeta or anywhere else relevant in the Halo universe IMHO.

Apparently several of the urban and industrial maps were aligned with planetary campaign locations before the story was rebooted.

AAA games have been getting into a habit of having everything important happen off screen. Its almost become a trope. Big battle at the beginning where everyone but the protagonist dies, several months or years timeskip where you're in a coma and now you experience everything cool that happened offscreen through exposition.

It seems extremely cheap, grimey, and creatively shameless sometimes. Like one of those arcade shooters that just move you from area to area and you point and shoot.

I’m only about 1/3rd through the campaign and I think 343 simply isn’t capable of handling this well enough. The actually combat is lights out, honestly. It’s difficult and fun. But narratively it’s lacking. I liked Act Man’s video about it personally. Lots of creative shortcuts taken whereas with the Bungie games there was clearly more cafe put into the player’s experience through the game and story as Master Chief.

They need to fix Big Team Battle servers. Amazing gameplay, but I can only play it 1/3 of the time. It's getting kinda ridiculous at this point.

Finally got around to trying out Attrition.

I like it. I wish the randos I played with had the sense to team-shoot the enemies after I stripped their shields, but with friends or an lfg crew it could be a lot of fun.
