He had a good game with Boston. He wast very good and the fact they didn’t sign him tells us everythingBertuzzi on Boston was completely different
Because a bulldog doesn't have fun in a safe space locker room.

Millionaire’s can’t be motivated, too busy ironing their benjamins………..This team desperately needs an obnoxious, outspoken tough Captain who will push his teammates to be better and play tougher.
It's true, there was a time where these teams were guaranteed points for us. We've owned Edmonton since like 2015Even reliable punching bags like Detroit and Edmonton are beating us now. This team has gone off the rails
“Starting to look like” that’s fresh……….I'm hoping we walk away from John and Mitch.
It's starting to look like half if your cap in 4 forwards isn't the greatest idea we've ever had.
Just dip into some of your peaty goodness and realize you were fortunate enough to see the Leafs win a cup already……….Gotta keep my sense of humor. I mean the team's a joke so what else is there? Prepare for another decade of irrelevance, that's my new mantra.
Listening to the post game interviews, this team is absolutely f***ing delusional and it starts with Marner. They think that they are playing awesome hockey and that they are a great team. There needs to be some serious changes with this roster. That is totally unacceptable.
On the next bus out of town………Brodie should take a seat

Marner is clueless. Sorry, you don't show up every night. Most nights this year, it's been a subpar effort. It was actually a good effort tonight, but beaten badly by a much better team. If you really think you've play hard, and "awesome", someone needs to reset your reality and expectations.
Larkin was their best forward. He did have a career year though, as everything kind of came together for him at once. He was in his prime on a line with Larkin/Raymond on a team where they got every good offensive opportunity, he got the most PP time on the team, and picked up points in a bunch of game states that he usually didn't, including more empty net points than the rest of his career combined. Not just looking at last year with Detroit. He was arguably their best forward the year before
He fit in well with Boston during the season. Had some issues in the playoffs but still put up numbers
We're not seeing anything close to that here.
The fact that you think he's a "junkyard dog" and a "worker bee" really just displays how much some people misunderstood what they were getting.No... He's a good junkyard dog.
I don't think it starts with Marner. It starts above him and trickles down.Listening to the post game interviews, this team is absolutely f***ing delusional and it starts with Marner. I think the only thing that tells us is that Boston didn't have the salary cap space he wanted. By all accounts, Boston very much wanted to resign him.He had a good game with Boston. He wast very good and the fact they didn’t sign him tells us everything
It's really worrying that fans have known this for half a decade, and yet the ones that have been in charge, don't. There are posters on this board that would've been a better GM than Dubas and Tre.Been saying this for years, you can’t give half the cap or more to 4 forwards, but the Leafs continue down this path of idiocy………..
Not quite top to bottom, but damn near close.I have no words. Just utter trash top to bottom
If he was good enough, they would gave re-signed him. They’re looking for a forward now.I think the only thing that tells us is that Boston didn't have the salary cap space he wanted. By all accounts, Boston very much wanted to resign him.
Probably right but Lou also signed Marleau to that bad inflated deal, and he was a key mentor for Matthews and Marner when they were first up in the NHL.
and TBH there are some parallel’s to this group and Marleau
Marner is so out of touch when giving interviews, it makes me want to scream every time he opens his mouth. I’ll be glad when we move on from him.Marner. "We're a great hockey team." The delusion is strong for that guy. Great teams don't give up leads and lose 4 times in a row.
Every time 16 opens his mouth he sounds like a bitch, it’s one of the reasons he’s not respected by a good portion of the fan base………These tone deaf comments are why I can’t get myself to like Mitch Marner.
This front office is going to re-sign him but I don’t want him on the Leafs.
He keeps making the same stupid mistakes, like the play at center in last minute of the 2nd period where he was very lucky he didn’t give up an odd man break. It really highlights the lack of understanding of the game some display by laying everything wrong with this team at his feet.
Idiotic and childish puts it mildly.
Torts wouldn’t be coach because these guys wouldn’t allow it. They’d stop playing in short order is my belief.I don't think it starts with Marner. It starts above him and trickles down.
If Torts was the coach, do you really think Mitch would have been saying that after the game?
