Name me one team besides the Leafs that have blown leads in 4 straight losses, I'll wait.

You know who is sitting first in the overall standings right now? Hint they're also the number 1 defensive team in the league.

You don't win cups by focusing solely on offense even Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Stamkos, Hedman, Point, Kucherov, Stone, Marchessault, Pietrangelo, Theodore, etc. etc. will tell you that.
Well said!

He is proving to be equally as bad as Dubas
But the main guy is Shanahan!

Lou was around the attitude around the club was TEAM>name on the back

Dubas comes in
- name becomes more important than team
- professionalism out the door
- matthtews mooning the security guard
- right after lou left babcock sabotaged by the dubas+players
- no accoutability what-so-ever... just look at the presser they gave after the habs defeat

I could give many such examples

Why do you think boston keeps on creating character guys and keep moving forward without losing many steps while Leafs will the full rebuild have had nothing important to show thus far?

Character building is part of being a pro and that part was absolutely screwed by dubas

Probably right but Lou also signed Marleau to that bad inflated deal, and he was a key mentor for Matthews and Marner when they were first up in the NHL.

and TBH there are some parallel’s to this group and Marleau

No team or fanbase should be proud of beating the Leafs. We have lost four in row all by blowing 3rd period leads. And we have Marin Jones in net. Its not hard to beat this team. We are limping around badly.

Keefe doesn't seem too worried about last night's game:

The coach ran through Tuesday's near misses: Tyler Bertuzzi's missed tap-in, Pontus Holmberg's stopped one-timer, and William Nylander hitting iron on a breakaway.

"We play that game over, we're gonna score four or five a lot of nights," Keefe said.

Start planning for next season. This season is a wash.

Do not throw away any assets (prospects and/or draft capital).

Do not "go for it" until tavares is off the cap and you are not running four f***ing forwards with 11AAV+

This cap distribution and roster construction is not sustainable for any kind of success
Been saying this for years, you can’t give half the cap or more to 4 forwards, but the Leafs continue down this path of idiocy………..

After Matthews scored I went to bed and I told myself they are gonna lose. I kid you not. I checked the score this morning and voila! We got no self discipline and urgency as a team to hold leads or pull of a consecutive regulation wins. Only urgency the team shows if we are down 3-1 and claw back to try and weasel a single overtime point

He seems to have missed the memo on the D and goaltending....
Carry on Keefe...

I’m so glad I didn’t stay up to see the totally delusional Marner interview. It’s bad enough reading it here.
We are a great team………ya you look like it buddy.
The only credit I will give him is he did come out come out t to speak

There was no reason to lose that game. if there is going to be a coaching change, it should happen soon.

glad im taking a break from watching.

im pretty sure willy can be traded up until his new contract kicks in, just saying.

contract was a mistake from the jump.
Boston would do it if it helped the team, but the Leafs are gutless so get used to the elite talent coasting thur their careers being grossly overpaid………

Selling Bertuzzi, Domi, Brodie and Kampf (if you can find a buyer) should net you a decent set of prospects and draft picks, in a system that could use an infusion of young, cheap talent.

If there is a big time, top pairing Defenseman in his prime that you can move Marner for, I'd really consider that too, especially if he's signed for term, under $10 million.
This is funny stuff right here.

What is your opinion of a “decent set of prospects and draft picks”? 2 x 3rds a 4th and a 5th?
And
What team is moving a big time, in his prime top pairing D for Marner?

Keefe is a dead man walking.

There is zero reason Keefe will be Tre's coach.

New GM comes in. (1) Leaves the head coach as is. (2) Waits a bit. (3) Brings in his coach when a suitable one comes available.

Tre can stay employed longer if he extends stage 2 and he can wait to see what coaches are available (Quenville, etc). The clock always starts ticking once (3) happens.

I'm realizing that all new teammates who get airlifted in every year simply will not stick up for, or sacrifice themselves for, the entitled Core Fore. ROR actually made this clear.
Winner winner chicken dinner, and to be honest I don’t blame them………

There is a tonne more wrong with the Leafs than 6.9 Nylander.

If there is one complaint I'd make about the previous GM it's that he didn't draft more than 1 smart defender.

What a disaster in their own zone.

Rielly had an off night, coasting several times throughout the game. Tired, injured, too much cache.
Lets be honest, Rielly excels on the offensive side of being a D man, but he’s as defensively inept as the rest of the D core. He needs a partner that can cover up said ineptitude………
