They show up every night? f*** me sideways.

Someone needs to sit him down and make him watch the Detroit game.

Not if they are proudest of the Canadian part.

I, myself, am a dual citizen (not American though) but am fiercely proud of the Canadian part of that.

I don't see Canadian pride as something one should have to explain or apologize for.

I don't recall anybody asking you to apologize.

There are American Leaf fans though, as well as others, of all the things wrong with this mess of a team it feels like nitpicking to focus on spelling on a hockey board.

Matthews 2 shots 1 goal 2points Marner 0 shots 1 point Holmberg 1shot 2p thats 3 shots 5p for that line.
Nylander and Tavares had 11 shots on goal. 0 goal. 0 points. If thats not snakebitten i dont know what is.

Still they should not be on the same line right now. Switch Knies and Holmberg , at least. That line need Holmberg , someone to bring the mojo back. Or be split up. Hate it when Keefe dont see these obvious things. He galaxybrain shuffle like crazy one game and then nothing forever even if it dont work and shuffle like crazy again out of nowere. Severe Coaching tourettes.

I noticed something about the post-game press conference after the Oilers game that I have noticed in other post-game press conferences after a loss.

John Tavares is rarely a part of the post-game press conferences, especially after losses.

They go on a losing streak, blowing leads every game, and the captain of the team is nowhere to be seen.

Instead they have players like TJ Brodie, Pontus Holmberg, and Martin Jones answering questions from the media.

Where is the leadership from Tavares?

Players like Crosby and MacKinnon don't hide from the media when their teams are doing poorly.

Isn't it odd that players who play on regular lines seem to be able to find each other more easily?

Tavares is done, even more than Brodie.

I'm liking Benoit more every game.

Prettiest (non)goal of the night was Hyman's.

Is Treliving going to make a move here? This is brutal. Coaching change required.
The suits like shanny need to go along with Brad and keefe.
Team had a chance this summer to go in another direction but instead doubled down and this is the end result.

I'm a nuck fan first but the leafs have always been my 2nd team and it's fascinating to see after the Benning era, competent management. The amount of change here including trading our captain, Re-shaping the defense and being in on 50 plus % of all trades this season while like the leafs having no cap has been an eye opener.
At what point does the blame fall on Shanny? This was his plan after all.

To see all the players thrive in T.O only to be lost to keep the core together is pretty fuc*Ed up.

In a cap era having that much tied up in 4 guys at forward won't work and sacrificing even 1 would likely have the team in a much better spot in the long -run.

Unlike other teams - the Leafs usually let the media decide who they want to interview.

Obviously no one wants to interview monotone Tavares unless it's a significant game for him

Fire Sheldon. New coach bump is what’s needed
Agreed. It’s like the saying goes, you can’t fire the team, so you fire the coach. But I agree, it’s time for Keefe to go. I wouldn’t mind hiring Berube, I can see him holding ALL players accountable!

And when the same thing happens then what? Fire the coach again? Fix the core of the team and stop overpaying your top players.

Nylander is 60 point player without Matthews. Matthews takes all the attention and focus of the opponents while entitled swede scores against bad team's 3rd pair. Against good teams he can't even do that.

And Shanahan paid this soft pillow 11.5 x 8

AHAHAHA!

Oh I would love to see that happen, but I believe Shanahan would have to go in order for that to occur. Unfortunately I don’t see that happening. He is the one who believes in this core, even though they have only won one playoff round in what, 5 years with this core? He has put them in a bubble, especially Matthews and Marner. So it probably doesn’t matter who the coach is.

It’s completely the fans fault
We blindly support these bums unconditionally
But it is good to see fans start to turn on management. No wonder MLSE do not want a second team in Trona. Think of what they would lose

Start planning for next season. This season is a wash.

Do not throw away any assets (prospects and/or draft capital).

Do not "go for it" until tavares is off the cap and you are not running four f***ing forwards with 11AAV+

This cap distribution and roster construction is not sustainable for any kind of success
They can't do it with 3

Totally agree. I believe when all is said and done, that this management group, meaning Shanahan, will go down as one of the worst, given the talent he had at his disposal, as well as giving the core ALL that they wanted, even though Shanahan had publicly said earlier about them taking a hometown discount. He can’t be gone soon enough for me!
