i'm the first to jump to his defense but he's compounding bad decisions with worse decisions every single game

he could learn a LOT from kuemper's poise

Hes definitely past his prime. Hopefully Cal Petersen is the real deal.

This argument is so tiresome. Quick has never been a stay at home goalie. Ever. His entire career. You're asking that Quick stop being Quick. Might as well just say you don't want him to be the Kings goalie.
there's a difference between abandoning his style and continuing its development by learning

He's a goalie that relies heavily on his defense. No real surprise that he's looked worse as the defensive personnel has gotten worse. His best season was the one where the defense was the best.

I for one am glad the dad’s got to see their kids play and get spanked.

When he's on the line between athlete and goalie, you can't get anything by him. When he veers toward too much athlete, he can't stop anything. Always been a fine line. He needs the athlete, but he has to control it. He's like The Hulk.

He was literally the league's best goalie by many metrics no later than earlier this year. He's been bad lately, but your confirmation bias about it is getting out of hand.

The way things are going after a beat down like this Stevens will go with the same lineup on Saturday to try and get Quick and company "back on track"

this

he just needs someone in his ear

i think everyone's afraid of telling jonathan quick what to do but it's starting to look like he could use a sports psychologist because he clearly isn't handling whatever's going on in his head

He wasn’t jumping around this bad back then

This game doesn't matter anymore. It's a non-competitive loss on the road to one of the best teams in the league. Whatever. The next two are far more important. They have to start beating division teams at home. Especially two of the worst. They've already lost to Vancouver. They can't do it to Edmonton and frikkin' Arizona too.

Why chase the guy behind the net? He wants to stay there for 1:30 then let him. Kings should just drop everyone back in their zone and see what Nashville does.
